We were blessed with the most incredible weather this last week. A bunch of hubby’s family came to town for some work stuff, and it was so nice to eat dinners on the back porch. Having company is a great excuse to fluff the house a bit, so I grabbed some blooms from Publix the day before everyone arrived. I just love pink tulips and mint julep cups. I kept them in the fridge overnight to prolong their beauty. One of the guest rooms got some carnations and mums.
Thankfully the weather was so warm and sunny, because we had quite the task to complete Tuesday:
Our koi pond is no longer and I had about 24 hours notice to get all of the tadpoles outta there if I wanted them to survive. The kids recruited some neighborhood buddies and we got to work catching those little critters. It took HOURS, but we did it. Well, Emery, Abby and I did it. As you can see above, the boys lost interest pretty quickly and a football game ensued.
Having the in-laws in town gave us the perfect excuse to head out to a fancy dinner at Bodie’s favorite restaurant, Chophouse 47. The boy sure does love steak.Friday night was a bucket list item for me: Eric Church live! Hubs and I went to the Double Down Tour stop here in Greenville and I was in heaven. Eric doesn’t have an opening act or many bells and whistles. It was three hours of him and his small band and it was incredible.
I am super busy with monogramming orders lately, so I’ll keep this short and sweet. I hope everyone had a great weekend!
