Valentine’s Day Gifts for the Fam

I know Christmas seems like yesterday, but Valentine’s Day is only a month away. How can that be!?! We do not make a big deal about Valentine’s, but it’s fun for cupid to pay a little visit with goodies for the family. And I won’t be unhappy if cupid brings me a few things (hint, hint).

I’ll start with gifts for me. It’s my blog and I can go first if I want!

I saw this sling bag on Instagram the other day and I realized it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’ve held out on a sling bag because I couldn’t find one that checked all the boxes for me: size, shape, color, price…something was always missing. Until this. Fancy Ashley shared it and I immediately bookmarked the site. It’s by Capital Z, which is a new brand. I have a feeling they will do very well. The totes and cross body bags are also gorgeous.

These are perfection! The Soul Sister bag also comes in a fabulous grass green. I can’t decide which color I want. I’m leaning towards the silver, I think, but the tan jumps out at me, too. Shop for yourself here: https://shopcapitalz.com/products/fanny-pack

Jewelry is a staple for Valentine’s Day, right? I’ve got a few ideas that will elevate my Valentine’s Day fit. Pink and hearts should be a year round lewk, in my opinion. I would actually wear these during all seasons, but especially during the month of February. I’m talking about Macrae & Co. Hollow Heart earrings and Theodosia Candy Necklaces. A match made in heaven!

Macrae & Co.’s heart earrings are lightweight, dramatic and available in gold and silver. I love everything Laura curates.

Hollow Heart Earrings

Truly the perfect valentine for someone you love. The price point is ideal for your galentines as well! Shop the earrings here: https://macraeandco.com/products/gold-hollow-heart. How fabulous would these hearts be paired with Theodosia’s gorgeous beads in various shades of pink? I can’t get enough of these candy necklaces for my neck mess. I want every color. Strawberry shortcake and Raspberry will be perfect stacked with my Hart heart charm necklace.

This next item is likely never going to be in my possession, but my gift guides for myself are always a bit outlandish. I’m talking about the giant check pink Burberry scarf. It’s cashmere. The color is “pale candy.” It’s Valentine’s Day perfection. It’s also almost $600, which is out of my budget. But I have to include it on my list. Aim high, ladies!

You all know I like to cook, especially for holiday meals. Fun pots and pans make cooking even more enjoyable! Le Creuset is the industry standard for cookware. Their fun colors are icing on the cake. But these cast iron hearts are the cherry on top of that icing. In case you can’t tell, I’m going for food metaphors and idioms here. I would be giddy if cupid Ben gifted me one of these. Preferably pink.

It’s been so cold (and getting colder) this month that I find myself brewing tea throughout the day to warm me up. I can’t handle coffee all day long. I’d love something to keep my tea warm while I’m working away in my monogramming cave. Bonus points if it’s pink. Since I always drink my tea and coffee out of a regular mug (not stainless or insulated), it doesn’t stay hot for long. This smart coffee warmer should work perfectly for me!

Gravity Coffee Warmer

I love that it’s activated by gravity. This little device can also be used for candle wax melts. This is ideal for someone who spends a lot of time at a desk. It’s also a fun idea for college dorm dwellers who are not allowed to burn candles. Available here: https://amzn.to/3U4ZaF3

Moving on to stuff for the kids…per usual, I can think of a dozen things for Emery and hardly any for Bodie. My color scheme is really limiting me. Oh well. I guess it’s a man’s lot in life to not get much on Valentine’s Day.

My niece got this skincare fridge for Christmas and Emery has mentioned her “need” for one as well. Insert eye roll. But, she has a large bathroom counter so she does have space for it. The retro style is adorable.

Skincare Fridge

Emery’s argument for this is that refrigeration keeps fungus and bacteria at bay. She’s not wrong. I can’t help but think that keeping my eye cream in here wouldn’t be a bad idea. If your tween/teen also “needs” a skincare fridge, click here: https://amzn.to/3S5rIf0. The cherry color is also cute for Valentine’s Day. Maybe Bodie would like one for his room to keep his Sunny Delights chilled?

My children cannot keep up with chargers. Santa brought a bunch for their stockings and we’re already back to stealing chargers every night. It’s ridiculous. I have a feeling most of them are in Emery’s numerous backpacks. My hope is that this three in one foldable charger might be more likely to stay in place (on their nightstands), but still be portable enough for travel. In keeping with the theme, I’ll get pink for Emery and red for Bodie. Shop all the colors here: https://amzn.to/3Hll5jK

Phone/Watch/Airpod Charger

If you’ve been around here for any length of time, you know The Melting Pot is my kids’ favorite restaurant. They love fondue and this fondue pot would be such a fun surprise for them on February 14th. While I don’t know that we would cook much meat in this (I’ll save that for The Melting Pot), I know that cheese and chocolate (not at the same time!) are always a good idea. I did a lot of research and this Cuisinart pot seems to be the best value for the quality. The reviews are excellent and it’s currently on sale!

Bodie learned to play the Cee-Lo dice game while we were in El Paso several weeks ago. He loves it and taught his buddies to play as soon as we came home. We didn’t have a designated dice cup or dice, so he “borrowed” dice from Monopoly and used a Solo cup to roll them. This was noisy and I feared our Monopoly dice were going to disappear forever, so I purchased him this leather dice cup from Amazon. The red option is perfect for Valentine’s Day! I also added some poker chips because he and his friends were playing with real money, which was problematic. Again, the red are perfect for V Day. We’ve been playing lots of Spoons and 99 this winter as well. A buddy taught Bodie how to play Spades, too. I love to see the fellas playing cards instead of staring at gaming monitors. Enhance your game night with the proper supplies!

Ski socks are always a good idea for Valentine’s Day in this fam. Bodie is very particular about his ski socks, and Smartwool is his favorite brand. I like that these have a pop of red. Shop here: https://amzn.to/3tYy7Aj

Santa brought me several garments from Stio and I am in love. I knew their outerwear is top notch, but I wasn’t expecting to be so amazed by their fleece items. Not only am I warm and cozy, but I’ve never gotten more compliments on comfy clothes. The best part? Stio is committed to sustainability and many of their clothes are made from recycled plastic bottles. I’d love to get hubs a pair of these Stio pants for Valentine’s Day. They are perfect for lounging in these chilly months.

Speaking of warm and cozy, how cute is this mini Solo stove? The Mulberry color is perfect for your valentine. My sister gave my parents one of these for their courtyard for Christmas and it’s already well loved. Pair with fixings for s’mores or a nice bottle of bourbon.

I hope this helps you plan your February 14th festivities. It’s so much fun to celebrate love.

Stay warm and safe this week!
