Travel Tuesday (kind of): Palau

image1This installment of Travel Tuesday is an odd one because I’ve never actually been to this little slice of heaven, but I’m eager to go.  A few years ago my brother in law purchased a hotel in Palau and has been painstakingly renovating it.  All of his hard work paid off and Palau Central Hotel is fully open!  Scott sent these pictures during their grand opening party several weeks ago.  Scott traveled to Palau for work (he’s a captain on a state of the art research vessel) and fell in love with the islands and people.

image2image3Palau is officially the Republic of Palau.  It’s an archipelago of more than 500 islands in the western Pacific (Micronesia).  The waters are beautiful, unspoiled and crystal clear.  It’s a diver’s paradise, which is one of the reasons I’m wanting to visit.  If you go, Scott’s hotel’s web site is www.palaucentral.com.  But don’t just take my word for it–the reviews on Trip Advisor are already phenomenal.

Moving on to what we’ve been up to lately…

IMG_4277IMG_4275Hubs and I attended a dead celebrity party Saturday night and had a blast.  I didn’t take a single picture at the party, but I did ask our babysitter to snap a photo of us before we left.  Jerry Garcia and Amelia Earhart!  The party guests really brought their A game and were so creative.  My favorites were Michael Jackson, Amy Winehouse, Hugh Hefner, Julia Child, Chris Farley, Burt Reynolds, Sonny Bono, Jackie O and Audrey Hepburn.  Serioulsy, so much fun.

I’m still cranking out a few last minute Halloween orders, like this gorgeous Corkcicle that is perfect for mommies trick or treating with their little ghouls.

IMG_4300IMG_4301Sunday was spent at the Greenville Swamp Rabbits hockey game.  The kids and I were responsible for manning the Chuck a Puck table prior to the game and during the first period.  We had fun, although Emery made me a little nervous with all of that money.

IMG_4288IMG_4290After the game we did the public skating session with the players, which is always a good time.  The Swamp Rabbits lost, but the players were all smiles on the ice with the kids.

IMG_6510IMG_4291Bodie had his face painted to look like a puppy while Emery opted for a unicorn.

I’ve added to my Christmas decor.  The tree in my bedroom is now up.  And Hallmark movies are on the tube 24/7.

IMG_4278I’ve even started wrapping gifts!  Emery is a snooper, so I have to wrap as soon as I purchase.  How cute is this skier wrapping paper from www.whhostess.com?

IMG_4295IMG_4296Lastly, I kicked off my week doing one of my favorite workouts:

IMG_4297I love a good swim!  I pop in my underwater audio earbuds and just zone out.  It’s like running, but doesn’t make my knees hurt.

Have a great week!
