Travel Tuesday: Grand Haven

We got away several weeks ago for a few days in hubby’s hometown of Grand Haven, MI. Grand Haven is a tiny town right on the coast of Lake Michigan. Late July is the perfect time to trade in the SC heat for some cool lake days. Per usual, I took advantage of the gorgeous weather to log some miles. My Grand Haven runs are always among my favorites and I particularly enjoy running down to the end of the pier. An added bonus this year is that the pier was recently revamped and my in-laws have a plaque on the new catwalk.

Grand Haven Pier and Lighthouse

Coast Guard City has never looked better. The yards I ran past on my morning runs were nothing short of amazing and the houses exude charm.

Scenes from my Runs

Emery and Bodie love their time in Grand Haven with cousins. We spend our days fishing, biking, go carting, swimming, boating, and having good, old fashioned fun.

Laid back evenings look like this….

Thanks for the hospitality, Grand Haven!
