This week felt both never ending and also super quick. We’re all so busy and I just in survival mode until the end of school. The kids have major spring fever. With only about six weeks of school remaining, all of the normal end of school activities are popping up on the calendar, plus end of baseball and end of piano…..and hubby’s golf tournaments and both hubs and me finishing our tennis seasons. Lots to celebrate! But, not enough time. Ready for the lazy days of summer when only swim team events are on the agenda.
My nephew’s baseball season is also winding down and my sister asked me to come up with a design to stitch on a stadium blanket for their team mom. So many of these spring games, especially the night games, have been freezing! Honestly, I would love one of these for Bodie’s baseball games. We have one tonight and it’s chilly again today. #sadface
I’m out of stock of my brightly colored zipper bags (more on the way), but I had a friend in a jam for teacher appreciation day at her kids’ school this week. She wanted to gift each teacher one of the SPF bags, but I only had gray and black in stock. I actually think they turned out super cute! I added some Lilly ribbon to the zipper to brighten them up a bit. Since then, I’ve gotten requests for more in these colors. Hmmm…..maybe not everyone is as color drunk as me? #saywhat I also had a request for a bag for a baby girl. I love the combination of soft pink on gray.
I mentioned above that golf tournaments are in full swing (see what I did there?), which means more dudes are hitting me up for embroidery needs. My hubs never bothers to coordinate with his golf partners in these tournaments, but plenty of other teams go all out. These shirts are on their way to Chicago for a member-guest format tournament.
Wednesday night Emery and I attended a fundraiser for Carmen’s Rescue, which is a dog rescue here in Greenville. I put together a basket of dog goodies and donated to the raffle. The event was held at Sharkey’s Pub downtown and we had a blast. Emery and her friends ran around selling homemade chapsticks and foaming hand soaps (all made with essential oils that smelled amazing. They completely sold out and all proceeds went directly to Carmen’s Rescue!) while I devoured a platter of fried pickles and enjoyed the good music and beer while chatting with girlfriends. All while supporting a cause near and dear to my heart. The weather could not have been nicer and Gipper made a surprise appearance. He loved all of the attention!
Bodie is really into basketball, particularly LeBron James, these days. So, while Emery and I had a girls night at the doggie fundraiser, Ben and Bodie met up with friends to watch the Cleveland Cavs game. They chose Wild Wings for dinner and viewing. What a treat for Bodie! Wings with Daddy and friends topped off by LeBron’s amazing game. He scored 46 points. I love that Bodie is so into sports as my whole family loves watching most anything involving a ball, either in person or on television. We don’t care! Just give me a good game and I’m happy.
This is random, but I purchased these Tom’s of Maine body washes at Publix the other day and I am one happy customer. They smell so good, especially the coconut scent. I feel like I’m on a tropical vacation when I use this stuff. I have to fight Emery for it, though. I guess I should have bought more. I’m on my second bottle of the Burt’s Bees face wash, which I’ve also been pleased with. I don’t always use natural personal products, but when I find some that I love, I’m thrilled. If only they came in glass bottles….
Signing off with these cute snaps of Gipper and his bestie, Sandy. I can’t help but smile when I see these big, goofy mutts together. We can learn a lot from dogs. Have a great weekend!
