I always feel most productive on Tuesdays. Back when (a million years ago) I worked in an office at The Coca Cola Company, the same was true. Mondays are kind of overwhelming survival mode and then I hit my stride Tuesdays. I actually read a study several years ago that confirmed my observation: employees are most productive on a Tuesday. Not surprisingly, Fridays are the least productive. Something to think about when planning your week. #totallyrandom
Speaking of planning your week, I picked up a few of my favorite planners over the weekend. I use one for life in general (my schedule and kiddos’ activities) and another one for EmeryBodie stuff (blog posts, orders, supplies needed). These are $5 at Wally and they are perfect for me. They’re small enough to toss into my bag and also don’t take up a ton of room on my desk/kitchen counter. Each day has its own space and monthly view is at the beginning of each month. Of course I had to embellish mine with a Lilly monogram and bow. I’ve spent plenty of money on fancy planners in the past, but these are just as good and a fraction of the cost. If you’re wondering why I am buying planners in March its because my last planners were the 18 month versions and they end in June. I needed to go ahead and get some dates on the calendar for summer, so I splurged (ha!) on these babies.
I’m big on alliteration, in case you haven’t noticed, which is why I titled this post “Tennis Tuesday.” I really only have one tennis related item for you, which is this cute little kid tennis backack.
Cha is a nickname for “Charlie” and it suits this kid perfectly. He’s got such a fun personality. This particular request got me to thinking, “what color IS a tennis ball?” This is apparently a very polarizing topic as people tend to feel strongly as to whether the ball is yellow or green. I had a hard time finding the right shade of bright yellowish/green, so I went with regular yellow since that is what the majority (though not by much) of polls on the internet decided.
Speaking of bags, I’ve had this Barrington Gifts Savannah Zippered Tote for a few years and I love it. I also have the cosmetic bag and the Captain’s bag, both in black and white stripes with pink and green monograms. Barrington bags are gorgeous and they’re so much fun to design on their web site (www.barringtongifts.com).
I got to thinking that I should treat myself for the official EmeryBodie LLC documents that are heading my way….and this Nantucket tote with EmeryBodie initials would be perfect. I’m guessing hubs will fail to see the logic in my idea, so I haven’t clicked “buy” just yet, but I sure want it!
Lastly, one lonely shark is shipping out today. I guess they’re not really social animals. Have a PRODUCTIVE Tuesday!
