Teacher Gifts: What My Kids are Gifting

Happy Monday! We are in the home stretch! Field day, Fifth Grade Day, awards day, class party, Memorial Day…safe to say Bodie isn’t learning a whole lot of new material these next two weeks. And that’s okay! He’s having fun with his friends and savoring his last few days of elementary school.

Emery finished middle school last week and is currently living her best live in Tennessee with a group of friends. They are spending time at Dollywood and white water rafting. I can’t wait to hear all about that.

Eighth Grade Trip to TN

Emery gave her teachers their gifts last week, but Bodie will give his out this Friday so that they can be put to use over Memorial Day weekend. I hate to ruin a surprise, but if I don’t share this now I’ll run out of time to fulfill orders for customers. **SIDE NOTE** I am a huge fan of giving teacher gifts NOT on the last day of school and NOT on the last day before Christmas break. The teachers get so many gifts on those days, so I try to give them one less thing they have to cart home on those day. I try to do gifts before Memorial Day and on the last day before Thanksgiving break. Thanksgiving break gift is usually a Publix gift card with a fall hand soap. But I digress.

This is what the kids and I decided to give this year: new and improved SPF bags. I say “new and improved” because I’ve offered SPF bags for years. However, these are bigger and come with a big, bold shadow font. These bags would also be really cute with a monogram instead of SPF, but for simplicity’s sake, we’re going with SPF. Emery and Bodie had A LOT of teachers this year.

Teacher Gifts

I included a stick, a spray and a lip product in each bag. Bodie’s main teacher (I’m room mom) is also getting another little surcee as well as a generous gift card from the class. We are so incredibly appreciative of our teachers!

I had a lot of fun coming up with color combinations for these bags. I can’t choose a favorite.

SPF Bags

SPF bags 2.0 are listed in my shop as of last night! Shop here: https://emerybodie-llc.myshopify.com/products/spf-bags-version-2-0

Also included in each of the SPF bags is a hand written note thanking the teachers for their hard work and dedication throughout the year. I am a big believer in hand written notes and I try to hammer this belief into my children as well. Not going to lie, they complain every time. But, I hope this quaint bit of etiquette will become a life long habit.

Bodie’s Notecards

Bodie’s stationery is several years old and I honestly cannot remember where I purchased it. I still love it, but we used the last of it on his teachers’ notes. Emery is also fresh out of stationery now as well. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Amazon has personalized stationery! And it’s cute!

These are some great options for teens and adults:

The designs for children are even more fun! I received a set of stationery with Emery’s initials at one of my baby showers and I thought that was such a wonderful and unexpected gift. Not to mention useful! Keep that in mind next time you’re shopping for a baby shower.

And so many more! Football, soccer and tennis are also represented. I was having a tough time choosing a new set for Bodie until I saw the shark options. I’m sure you know by now that Bodie and I are completely shark obsessed, hence his former stationery. Heck, I may even order one for myself! But with a pink shark, naturally.
