Happy Master’s Sunday! It’s the final day of our spring break and I’m in vacation recovery mode. So.much.laundry. And I’m desperate to squeeze in a run because I feel kind of gross after all of the vacation eating and drinking, but I’ve got to hit the grocery store and stock up for the week, plus crank out a few Etsy orders. So, we’ll see if the run actually happens.
Our spring break was wonderful! I think we struck the perfect balance of staycation and vacation. We stayed in town the first half of the week so hubs could work and Emery could attend a few days of horseback riding camp. We spent the second half of the week with dear friends at their beach house in Wild Dunes. I love Charleston and Isle of Palms. We didn’t have spectacular weather our last day at the beach, but the kids didn’t seem to mind.
Emery’s friend, Amelia, joined her at the stables for some spring break fun. How cute are they?
If you’re looking for a good hostess gift, this is one of my go to surcees: an Aveda Shampure candle. It smells incredible (just like the shampoo) and is a pretty white color in a hefty glass jar. It’s soy. I stick one of my gift tags on the box and call it good.
Ready to head to the boat Thursday morning.
The boys did a little fishing on the dock while the daddies got the boat ready to set sail.
Bodie and Daddy navigating Morgan Creek.
Emery LOVED riding her bike all over Wild Dunes. She rode to the store and to the beach every day. And usually treated herself to a slushie.
The ocean water was FREEZING so the kids finally took refuge in the heated pool.
My good friend, D, was also in CHS with her kiddos and we were able to meet up a few times. Love these girls.
Deidre took the girls to Ice and Pan downtown for some rolled ice cream Friday night. I haven’t gotten to try it yet, but Emery said it was delicious. These angel wings are super fun.
Such sweet friends enjoying downtown CHS while us parents attended the Jimmy Buffett concert. I hadn’t seen JB in over a decade. He’s still amazing at 71.
Emery and I came home last night, but the boys were having so much fun that they stayed an extra day. This crazy child of mine begged for Waffle House for our dinner, so here she is in Orageburg, SC, enjoying hot chocolate while waiting for her waffle and bacon. The guys literally just pulled into the driveway. More laundry!
Now hurry up, summer! We’re ready for you.
