If any of you are from Atlanta then I’m sure you’re familiar with the legendary (and difficult to schedule) Santa at Phipps. We go every year and it’s something the adults look forward to as much as the children. After our visit with the man in red, we always walk across the street to the Buckhead Ritz Carlton and enjoy cocktails and milkshakes.
Nanny, my mom’s mom, is 90 years young and is a force to be reckoned with. Our whole family adores her.
After our jaunt down to Atlanta, we headed back to Greenville to get ready for the next super fun part of our weekend: Buena Vista Spirit Night at the Greenville Swamp Rabbits game. The Swamp Rabbits are the minor league hockey team here in town. They’re affiliated with the Rangers. The games are so much fun, but this game was extra special because the SR organization donated a portion of ticket sales to the kids’ school. AND, we got to skate with the players following the game. Even though we lost, the players were super sweet to the kids.
And finally, I spent Monday evening working on gifts for the kids’ teachers, including Em’s piano teacher, her tutor, their music teacher, art teacher and PE teacher. They’re all spectacular. We will be out of town the last few days of school prior to winter break, so I decided to send little Thanksgiving goodies in with Emery and Bodie Tuesday. This could also be a sweet little Christmas gift. A Publix gift card comes in handy at any time of year, right!?!?!
Thanksgiving meal prep is in full swing today! Have a wonderful turkey day!
