The highlight of our week was the birth of the royal baby. Since I love any excuse to throw a little party, our rainy Monday was brightened by a Sip N See for the newest prince. I quickly set up a little tea party using various items I’ve collected over the years from London and ran to Publix to grab some McVitie’s Digestives and raspberry Jammie Dodgers. Of course we had tea. I texted a few of my friends and asked them to bring their little ones over after school. The girls really got into it. The boys, not so much. We also set up a name game pool, but when the name was announced several days later not one of us had guessed correctly. Oops.
Gathering all of my London goodies had me reminiscing about my last trip to London with Nanny. I took her in September 2014 for a quick little visit since she hadn’t been in over ten years. Nanny is from London and much of her family still lives there. We had a blast!
We stopped by Buckingham Palace to say to Kate and Will….
…and had high tea at Harrod’s, of course. Harrod’s is such an experience. Hands down the most glamorous store EVER.
The rest of our week was pretty mundane. Bodie got his hair cut, which is always a funny outing. He loves our hair stylist, Athena, but is always apprehensive as the scissors come close to him.
Bodie always strips down to just pants as soon as his haircut is finished. He can’t stand the feeling of hair on him.
I was busy with a large order of SPF and goggle bags. These will be given to a PTA board as thank you gifts next week. The moms on the board each get a bundle, one SPF and one goggle bag in a combo of pink, yellow and aqua. Who wouldn’t want that?!
I was also asked to put a ballplayer’s name and number on a cute hat for his mother. I wish I’d thought to take a picture of the front! Doh!
The weather is gorgeous this weekend and I plan to spend as much time outside as possible. We’ve got baseball today and the adventure race tomorrow, so that shouldn’t be too difficult. Have a great weekend!
