I’ve definitely noticed a pattern….my blogging game starts strong each Monday, but by the end of the week I’m pressed for time and end up skipping more days than planned. This week was extra busy because I hosted my book club at my house. I actually took the easy way out and ordered pizza for my girls, but I did make a salad and a dessert. We try to pick foods that are mentioned in the books we read, and this month’s book happened to feature a lot of pizza. Score! We read Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover and it was amazing. An easy, fun read with a main character that had us all swooning. Miles Archer, the male lead, is an airline pilot. My dad is a retired Delta pilot, and I love a theme, so this happened….
My parents came up to visit last weekend and Dad brought a few of his old Delta items for me to use as props. Those uniforms are hot and I was roasting before too long, so this is the only picture I managed to get.
This is the main reason my week got so crazy:
These were a blast to design. I’m hoping I can find some more because I have a few additional requests and I’m all out of tumblers. They come in softball, basketball and football, too. I’m thinking a football with a shamrock monogram needs to happen. Go Irish!
Friday was National Puppy Day. We tend to celebrate our pupper every day, but here’s a picture of Gipper to document that I recognized this hashtag holiday. My copilot.
In house news, we made substantial porch progress this week. Fresh paint on the floor and trim, but the biggest change is the metal ballusters! Wow! I love them. No more ripped screens and we are now up to code should someone try to fall off the porch.
I’ll leave you with this picture of Hunter. He is spending his Saturday doing what I wish I could do. Instead, I’m off to drop Em at the stables and then freeze my arse off at Bodie’s baseball game. I’ll try to squeeze in some monogramming and a trip to the store in between. Oy.
Have a great weekend!
