I spent some time getting caught up on monogramming orders this week.  I love that each request was something totally different.  First up, a birthday gift for a young lady turning 11.  Her mother requested a monogrammed apron and cosmetic bag and let me know that her little tween likes purple and turquoise.

I seldom receive requests for men’s monograms, so they’re always a fun break from the norm.  These shirts are from Lands End and are perfect for pairing with jeans on casual Friday.  The monogram takes them up a notch.

Speaking of a break from the norm, my charger bags received a fencing makeover.  I know nothing about fencing, but apparently the equipment requires charging.  A friend of mine asked me to do some bags for her children, all of whom fence, and then a few more requests started trickling in.  I love it!

Fall break is upon here in Greenville, and many families are at the beach or Disney.  We’re having a staycation and really enjoying the downtime, but seeing pictures on Facebook and Instagram of friends frolicking on the beach or chilling with Mickey have me kind of wishing I’d planned something.  I guess I’ll need to redeem myself next year.  I stitched my all time favorite design for a sweet neighbor the other night…..Lilly Pulitzer Minnie.

At least one family member is happy we stayed home for fall break…..Gipper.  He is such a sweet dog and loves his kids fiercely.  He never leaves their side, whether he’s helping with homework or putting them to bed.  Win one for the Gipper! Best $75 I ever spent.
