I’m popping in with a bit of randomness on this dreary Friday before heading to the kids’ school for much of the day.  I’ve got work to do for my little PTA gig, which I’ll squeeze between eating with Bodie and Emery.  Then we’re off to horseback riding after school and then home to anxiously await the arrival of our former neighbors.  Yippee!!!!!

This week brought cooler temperatures (and by cooler, I mean highs in the 80s instead of the 90s), which means Gipper was able to tag along to Bodie’s baseball game Monday evening.  He was in seventh heaven with all of the kids wanting to love on him.

Speaking of my pets, Hunter has taken to the guest room lately.  I’m not real happy about this, as it’s the only room in the house I try to keep the pets out of, but he’s just too gosh darn cute to refuse.  Also, he looks fabulous snoozing at the foot of the bed.  This little room is such a happy spot that I guess I can’t blame Hunter for wanting to hang out in there.

The cooler temps have sent my love of all things fall into overdrive.  I couldn’t resist these funky gourds and pretty mums at Publix the other day.  I hope to finish the rest of the exterior Halloween decorations this weekend.

This week’s EmeryBodie LLC orders consisted of more doggie bandanas.  These are so fun!  I just love stitching these.

IMG_3660IMG_3661IMG_3750I was thrilled to receive this snapshot of Lily sporting her new bandana last night.

I know we’re more than a month into the school year round these parts, but I’m still smitten with these LunchBots containers I ordered back on Amazon Prime day.  They make packing lunches so much easier than when I used separate containers for everything.  Plus, they’re ideal for portion sizes.  I just stick them in the dishwasher and they’re ready for the next morning.  The vinyl names have stayed on perfectly.

IMG_3710Side note:  my kids recently discovered Lay’s Poppables and they’re obsessed.

I managed to squeeze in a swim earlier this week.  I don’t know why I don’t make time for that more often.  It’s my favorite workout.  I love zoning out with my waterproof Ipod shuffle and earbuds.  Wearing my TomTom watch means I don’t have to worry about keeping track of how many laps I’ve completed as it tracks my distance for me.

I swear I’m never not in the middle of a decorating project.  We’re about to rip out all of the nasty carpet upstairs and put down hardwood floors, which means I’ve been selecting rugs to go in all of the rooms.  Well, I fell in love with a super fun rug for my monogramming cave, but realized my pear green peg board needed to be white or black in order to accommodate all of the bright colors of the rug.  Thankfully, I had a can of BM Graphite leftover from when all of my doors were painted, so I slapped a few coats of that on it.  Then I reorganized all of my thread and now I’m happier than a pig in sh*t.  Roy G. Biv and I are tight.

Here’s the before and after:

Much better, right?  I can’t wait to show you the finished rooms and hallway!

Have a great weekend!
