Ponce City Market (Atlanta)

I found myself in Atlanta yesterday to attend to the funeral of a dear friend’s mother. The service was beautiful and, although not under the best circumstances, I’m glad I got to visit with my friend. With lots of sunshine in the forecast and nothing required of me back in Greenville, I decided to play tourist for the day. My BIL suggested a walk on the beltline and a trip to Ponce City Market. It was the perfect way to spend a sunny fall Saturday in Atlanta.

We parked at Piedmont Park and walked to Ponce City Market. The dog parks we passed along the way were busy, which made for a very fun stroll. Ponce City Market is housed in the old Sears building. It’s now home to a food hall, excellent shopping, and even a little amusement park. There’s something for everyone!

Below is a list of stores. The highlights for my sister and me were Williams Sonoma and Glossier. My Christmas list got a lot longer after spending time in these stores!

You can grab a beer in the food hall to enjoy while shopping in Williams Sonoma, which is extremely dangerous for my wallet. I am such a sucker for the holiday items!

After shopping we headed to the rooftop to enjoy the views, games, slide and ride. And another beverage.

I cannot wait to go back and take my children! I bet the holidays will be extra festive. If you live in the area and haven’t been yet, GO! It’s a fabulous way to spend a day.
