Pink Hair Don’t Care….and Baseball Camp

The two biggest defining moments of this past week were baseball camp for Bodie and pink hair for Emery.  After YEARS of begging, I finally let Emery dye the ends of her hair pink.  Whatever hasn’t faded by the time school begins, we’ll just trim off.  I actually like it!  I wasn’t sure that I would, but she owns it.58190020774__2E1F0EE2-CB24-4EFC-8D5E-AE52982CE35FIMG_8269Bodie had a very sporty week.  He started the week at the BMW Pro Am golf tournament held in our neighborhood and finished the week at a swim meet.  But, in between, he attended a fabulous baseball camp at Presbyterian College with some buddies.  The camp was from 8-12 every day, which made for some super early mornings.  But, Bodie woke up each day bright eyed and bushy tailed, excited to go.

At the conclusion of the golf tournament.  Thankfully, the rain held out.IMG_8041Waiting for his 7:00 AM ride to camp.48BACBCF-8F61-4372-A869-2E6712F39DA4IMG_8280IMG_8307IMG_8328Bodie about to dive in for his portion of the freestyle relayIMG_8331Em and some of her bestiesIMG_8336Disclaimer:  We have not tried these yet, but Emery and I are excited about these plastic free shampoo and conditioner bars.  The cases are made of bamboo and sugarcane.  I’m hopeful this will be the solution to our plastic bottle bathroom habit.IMG_8302IMG_8304This popped up on my Instagram feed yesterday and I can barely contain my excitement.  I try not to put too much stock into these preseason rankings, but I am counting down the days until college football season.  It is the most wonderful time of the year.IMG_8316

Have a great weekend!  We’ve got a doozy coming up what with Emery’s birthday and Father’s Day.
