Our bathroom renovations are nearing an end (yay!) and I have had fun doing a little shopping and monogramming (of course) for these new and improved spaces. Emery’s bathroom is still waiting on the shower door and mirror. The guest bathroom still needs art. All of these things are scheduled to be delivered or installed by the end of next week. I am so excited for these rooms to get some use! Emery is suddenly acting like a teenager, so I anticipate she’ll be logging lots of hours in her updated bathroom.

I think my favorite part about both of the bathrooms is the new floor. This hex marble is such a great mix of white, gray, cream and tan that it matches pretty much anything and shows dirt, hair and grime way less than the plain white square tiles that were in there previously. I loved it so much when I saw it in the tile store that I decided to use it in both baths, including in Emery’s shower (floor and cubby). The white subway tile on her shower walls was a no brainer.

The room still needs LOTS of fluffing, but I couldn’t wait to hang this horse photograph Emery got for Christmas. It’s from Minted. I’ve ordered quite a few prints, all framed, from www.minted.com over the years and I’ve been pleased with all of them. They’re as amazing as their holiday photo cards!

I’m oddly excited about the hooks for Emery’s robe and towel. Here’s hoping she actually uses them.

I am so smitten with Emery’s hooks that I added the same in the guest bath. I think it’ll be nice for our guests to have the choice of a hook or a towel bar for their towels, or to use as a place to hang a toiletry kit, clothes, etc. This room also still needs fluffing, but I couldn’t wait to hang the new monogrammed towels. These pictures are TERRIBLE because neither bathroom has any windows. All of the towel bars, hooks and rings are from Pottery Barn (Mercer) and the large seagrass basket is from Amazon.

Speaking of Amazon, I found this gorgeous turquoise tray while searching for something to corral all of Emery’s products that have taken over her dresser since Christmas. It’s Prime eligible and comes in several great colors. And it’s $12.99. Can’t beat that with a stick! I am so happy with the vibrant turquoise color and it’s just the right size for her dresser. I think it adds a cool, beachy vibe to the room. I’ve included snaps of some of the other available options. At this price, I may just have to order more.

Moving along from decor to food, I made crockpot “breakfast for dinner” today and I really need to remember to do this more often. It’s decently healthy, couldn’t be easier, and my kids and hubs all devoured it. I served with fruits and veggies and I FINALLY feel like everyone ate a well balanced meal. Emery has become super picky these past few months and dinner is almost always a battle. This recipe is just a mix of various recipes I found while searching on Pinterest for “crockpot breakfast casserole.” I used tater tots instead of hash browns because I already had some in my freezer. If you’re in a dinner rut, try it!

It’s almost the weekend….a three day weekend at that!
