Don’t ask me why, but my kitchen has a coat closet. Never mind that we have a large coat closet by the garage entry. For some reason, the builder or a previous owner decided a second coat closet was needed right next to the kitchen table. It dawned on me several months ago that I could remove the hanging rod and add some shelves and have a proper pantry. We’ve always just kept the vacuum cleaner, a bucket full of cleaning supplies, and random tabletop decor in this closet while utilizing tall cabinets as a “pantry.” Although this worked, the amount of food Bodie eats is reaching new heights and I was having a tough time fitting everything in the cupboards.
Here’s a “before” look at the closet (this is embarrassing).
Kitchen Closet

I reached out to Carolina Closets several months ago and set up an appointment with Kelly. She came out to my house and took some measurements and discussed what I was wanting to achieve. A few weeks later I met her at the Carolina Closets showroom to see the design Kelly created. She walked me through everything using a large monitor and then I chose colors and lighting. Easy as pie and took less than an hour. An installation date was scheduled for about six weeks later, which was seamless and took just one day.
Empty Shelves

The kids and I could not wait to move everything into our new space! We went to the grocery store that very same day and did a huge restock. Between traveling and knowing this pantry overhaul was on the horizon, I hadn’t done a big shopping trip in weeks. Feels so good!
Stocked and Organized

I can’t say enough about Carolina Closets. They have been around for a long time and make everything here in South Carolina. If you’re needing closet assistance, give them a shot! *Bins and lazy Susans are mine. These were already in use in our cabinets and I am thrilled they continue to work in our new pantry.
And if you need help with organizing existing closets/garages/pantries/cabinets, Revived Spaces is the best in Greenville!
