I know it seems like we just finished putting away the Christmas trees, but today marks one month until Valentine’s Day. I say this every year, but we do not have a big celebration on February 14th at Chez Slagel. Bodie’s birthday is the 15th and that tends to overshadow cupid. That being said, I have a wish list at the ready should Ben want to surprise me with something fun.
I am in need of a new wallet. I’ve used the same wallet for at least ten years. It is beat up! This one should be a suitable replacement. It’s actually a major upgrade. https://www.neimanmarcus.com/p/saint-laurent-ysl-monogram-large-zip-wallet-in-grained-leather-prod189370204

Powderhound creates the most beautiful ski themed china pieces. I love this particular ski chain pattern and dream of one day owning a house in Deer Valley stocked with a set of this china. Clearly I need to buy some lottery tickets. In the meantime, this precious candle will tide me over. I don’t even care what the scent is. I just want the pot. Jewelry is always a good Valentine’s Day gift. BaubleBar is on a roll lately. Everything they produce catches my eye and the price point is manageable. I can’t decide which color custom initial heart necklace needs to be mine! They’re all beautiful. Shop them here: https://www.baublebar.com/products/custom-initial-enamel-heart-pendant-necklace-pink

The neck mess trend is still going strong, thank goodness. I love mixing and matching my necklaces every day.
Another piece of jewelry that cupid should look into is a three stone gumdrop ring by Ashleigh Bergman. This is even more difficult than choosing a Baublebar heart color! I love them all. The pink and green stones really speak to me, but the turquoise is a showstopper. This price is not as budget friendly as Baublebar, but a girl can dream. A slightly more practical gift is socks. Emery frequently helps herself to my sock drawer when packing her basketball or tennis bags. As a result, I am running low on socks. Pink Smartwool for the win! The best part? They’re available on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/3PAak16

Speaking of festive footwear…these Gazelles could not be more perfect for Valentine’s Day. They are such a fun pop of color for winter. All of the colors are great. Check them out here: https://www.adidas.com/us/gazelle-shoes/JH7217.html

When we were in Deer Valley a few weeks ago I noticed several ladies wearing suede mittens. Not only do they look cool, but the large cuff is perfect for easily going over your jacket sleeve. I rode the chairlift with a lovely lady donning a pair and I asked for the brand. They’re made by Astis, which is a new to me label. She had nothing but great things to say about the warmth and quality of the mittens. My next ski trip is in March and these need to come with me. Vesper matches my gear the best, but I like the colors of Hanno as well. If you have any cold weather trips on your calendar, click here: https://www.astis.com/collections/long-cuff

This final wish list item is not at all romantic and some fellas might get in trouble for a fitness purchase for Valentine’s Day, but I am going on record as saying I would be thrilled to get this. If your 2025 resolution is to get more steps daily, a treadmill desk might help. Shop here: https://amzn.to/4hg4f5J

As I look back at this post I realize my list is quite random, but surely Ben can find something he wants to gift his loving wife. Probably socks.
