Happy Thursday! I’m back today with a Mother’s Day gift guide. We’ve got about one month to prepare, friends! I try very hard to curate lists that consist of gifts moms will actually use, but may feel guilty buying themselves. Every single item in this guide is something I would love to receive. I also try to come up with ideas at a variety of price points. If you are needing some inspiration for the special moms in your life, you’ve come to the right place.
First up: a beautiful Mahjong set that can be personalized. Everything is better when personalized. I do not know how to play, but I want to learn. It’s taking off like wildfire! This comes in pink or blue. Both are gorgeous, but I think pink takes the cake. Available here from Mark & Graham: https://www.markandgraham.com/products/acrylic-mahjong-game-set/

My friend, Jess, introduced me to this next wish list product. It’s the cutest swim coverup that is perfect for the beach or pool. Jess has a few of these and I always notice when she wears them. I’m guilty of throwing on a ratty tee and shorts to head to the pool. These would definitely elevate my game while being effortless. Speaking of things I wear that I need an upgrade, let’s talk pajamas. Oof. Once again, guilty of wearing ratty tees. I could use an upgrade. This Eberjey brand has incredible reviews and is one of Oprah’s favorite things several years running. They’re more than I would typically spend on pajamas (clearly), but apparently they’re worth the money. The only problem is I can’t decide on a color. I don’t care what holiday or event is the cause for celebration, a book is always on my list. How perfect that one of my favorite authors, Megan Miranda, just released a new novel. Daughter of Mine is available now! I’d be thrilled to receive this from my loving family for Mother’s Day. HINT HINT. Here’s a brief synopsis:
When Hazel Sharp, daughter of Mirror Lake’s longtime local detective, unexpectedly inherits her childhood home, she’s warily drawn back to the town—and people—she left behind almost a decade earlier. But Hazel’s not the only relic of the past to return: a drought has descended on the region, and as the water level in the lake drops, long-hidden secrets begin to emerge…including evidence that may help finally explain the mystery of her mother’s disappearance.

My sister shared her thoughts on her Oura ring several months ago (read about it here: https://emerybodie.com/oura-ring/) and I still haven’t bitten the bullet. Mother’s Day is the perfect excuse to treat myself. I think tracking this data would be beneficial for me. Get an Oura ring here: https://ouraring.com/

Oura rings look more fashionable when stacked with a dainty band. I’d love this Gorjana diamond ring to pair with my Oura. Go big or go home, right? Add some sparkle here: https://www.gorjana.com/collections/fine-rings-a29e0f

A beauty blogger I am not, but I occasionally share products that I love and that work well for me. Not only does this Elemis balm work well, it feels like a mini spa day every time I use it. I bought the travel size after a friend raved about it at our book club’s favorite things party, but I should have bought the full size. Mother’s Day is a great time to treat a mom to this indulgent and luxurious cleansing balm. I think I’m going to get this for my own mother. Make someone’s day here: https://amzn.to/3JcO763

I don’t have links for these next items, but I cannot think of any mother who would not be thrilled to receive a massage or have her car detailed for Mother’s Day. Don’t just give a gift certificate, book it and surprise her. A clean car makes me feel sane. Search up mobile detailing companies in your area and book it for when you know she will be home. Call up her favorite spa and schedule an hour long massage. Bonus points if it’s actually on Mother’s Day.
To all the moms out there, it’s the toughest job, but the most rewarding. I wanted to be a mom my whole life and am incredibly grateful for my children and their father. They make me crazy a lot of the time, but I wouldn’t trade this life for anything. For those of you wanting to become mothers and those of you who have lost children, I’m praying for you.
xoxo,
Ashley
