Monogram Monday: Baby Talk

I tend to stick with classics and basics when it comes to baby gifts:  seersucker, quilts and burp cloths.  All monogrammed, of course.

Let’s start with the most needed baby item:  burp cloths.  New moms truly cannot have enough of these.  I always purchase thick, organic Gerber burp cloths because they’re safe for baby and stitch really well.  Personalized burp cloths are especially brilliant if the baby attends day care.  No chance of losing it!

Burp Cloths

Moving along to a nursery staple that is timeless and elegant:  a white crib quilt with a BIG monogram.  This is a special gift and the price point ($60) is higher than my typical baby shower gift.  That said, it makes for a great group gift.  The great thing about the quilt being white is that any color thread works and it will match any nursery.

Every baby needs some seersucker in his/her life!  Start them young, am I right?  Duffels, toiletry bags and backpacks are so sweet in classic seersucker.  The toiletry bags make for excellent diaper bag organizers.  The backpacks are perfect for day care attendees.  And the duffel is perfect for sending the wee one to grandma’s for a night.
