This installment of Monogram Monday is a doozie, but that’s because I am finally DONE with all of my Christmas orders. This week has been a whirlwind of work and activities and now I’m ready to relax with my family. I still have some wrapping and cooking to tackle, but nothing too major. I’ve already done all of my grocery shopping, so at least I don’t have to contend with that.
Some school fun from this last week: Bodie had Polar Express Day and got to wear pajamas to school. He woke up this particular day with the craziest bed head. Nothing would slick it down, so he decided to roll with it. He also had to include his two favorite Christmas movies: The Grinch and Christmas Vacation. We’ve had the same bus driver since Emery was in kindergarten and he is the best. He always dresses as Santa and hands out candy on the last day of school.
Now for the monograms:
I love how these napkins turned out. A dozen linen dinner size napkins from Pottery Barn plus a gold script monogram equals total elegance.
A local teacher asked me to create a clipboard for each of her students, complete with a design chosen to reflect their interests. I had so much fun with this order!
In between EmeryBodie LLC orders, Emery and I had a floral arranging session with two of her besties. I gathered a bunch of my poinsettia trimmings, clipped some evergreens in my yard and purchased a bunch of baby’s breath from Publix and let the girls go nuts. I think they did a great job. I had fun with this, too. Now my house is extra festive. Emery’s friends took their mason jars home with them to decorate their table. I used silver mint julep vases for ours.
I enjoyed putting together this little charcuterie board for the kids’ lunch today. I’m happy to report they ate most of this. Sometimes you just need to mix it up and deviate from sandwiches. Strawberries, cheddar, apples, raspberries stuffed with chocolate chips, colby, summer sausage, dried cranberries and veggie straws.
I am SO going to miss this view after next week: my bedroom Christmas tree and Hallmark Christmas movies. At least the giant mutt will still be around.
And to all a good night!
