I know we are still in full blown summer around here, but I definitely noticed the mornings are a bit cooler this week. I’m sure it’s just a tease and our normal August heat will return soon, but I am loving the brisk(er) mornings while running and I am SO excited for fall. Adding to my anticipation is the shipment of fall/holiday Modern Forestry candles I received the other day. Modern Forestry candles are made of soy and are hand poured right here in Greenville. Not only do they make the BEST seasonal scents, but they are 100% safe to burn without any worries of toxins or other icky chemicals found in other candles.
Pumpkin Streusel is my all time favorite. I know I shouldn’t pick favorites seeing as how I’m trying to sell multiple fragrances, but it is THAT good. Seriously. All I can think about is curling up with a good book and a cup of coffee (or glass of wine) in front of a fire when I burn this candle. Orange Pomander is another fabulous scent that smells fall-ish, but in a less obvious way. It just smells clean and slightly festive and amazing. I tend to save Pumpkin Streusel for closer to Halloween and Thanksgiving, but start burning Orange Pomander as soon as football season begins (God willing). Also? Do yourself a favor and start reading all of the Shari Lapena novels you can find. Hands down my current favorite author.

Moving right along to Christmas (I know, hard to fathom), Deck the Halls is the quintessential evergreen scent. It’s a wonderful Christmas tree meets spice fragrance that immediately transports me to a Hallmark Christmas movie. I’m older and wiser this year and ordered more of this particular candle than the others. These were hot items for teacher and hostess gifts last year and I ran out of stock. Of course, I have no idea what this upcoming holiday season will look like given our current situation, but I am hopeful.

Tomorrow is Friday! Emery finishes her first week of school. Bodie is gearing up for his first week of (mostly virtual) school. I hope you’re all surviving and that things can get back to normal sooner rather than later.
