This week is all over the place……lots of Halloween stuff happening at Chez EmeryBodie, but a bit of Christmas managed to sneak in. If only our weather would cooperate!
I spent Friday afternoon zhushing my front porch and hanging giant spiders on the front of my house. I am loving these spiders! I snagged four of them for $65ish on www.amazon.com. I just stuck them to the shutters, shutter dogs and window trim with black Gorilla tape. I initially stuck some of their legs to the brick, but after a few hours in the SC humidity they were starting to droop. I am happy to report that since I adhered them only to non-brick surfaces, the Gorilla tape is living up to its billing.
My love of black and white carries over into my Halloween decor. This MacKenzie-Childs gourd is my all time favorite fall accessory. I leave it out until Thanksgiving. I would love to acquire a bunch more in various shapes and sizes, but MC ain’t cheap. Sigh.
This skull was a gift from a friend and evokes the same MacKenzie Childs vibe I love so much.
These little jack o lantern mini lamp shades were purchased from Ballard Designs several years ago. I adore them. They sure are tough to photograph, though. This wall sconce is on my staircase I just can’t seem to get a good angle.
The butler’s pantry is adorned with a few Halloweenie staples: black cat, jack o lantern and fall candle from Bath & Body Works. I’ve been burning this baby non-stop.
As much as I love my pumpkin scented candle, I am not a huge lover of pumpkin spice coffee. Shocking, right? I am, however, hooked on my French press coffee concoction of vanilla extract and So Delicious French Vanilla coconut milk creamer. I usually have a cup in the morning and then pour the leftovers over ice to enjoy while standing at the sweltering bus stop every afternoon. Seriously, where is fall?
In EmeryBodie LLC news, I’m once again cranking out doggie bandanas this week.
I love when customers send pics of their fur babies wearing something I stitched.
Speaking of fur babies, Gipper is still relishing that huge Irish victory over Standford this weekend.
In addition to the dog bandanas, I sitched a few Santa appliques on pajamas. Seems early, but time is flying by! The next three months are always such a blur.
Happy Hump Day!
