Yesterday some Book B*tches and I had the privilege of attending a Lunch and Lit at Soby’s with Lucy Foley! She is one of my favorite authors. I’m thrilled to report that she is more lovely than I could have imagined. Lunch and Lit is a series hosted by a fabulous local bookstore, M. Judson, in conjunction with Soby’s New South Cuisine. This was my first time attending and it will certainly be hard to top. Several of my fellow B*tches have attended in the past and they agreed that Lucy was particularly fabulous.

We dined on salad, pork tenderloin, broccoli, quinoa and lemon basil cake while Ms. Foley stopped by the tables to chat and sign books. After lunch, Lucy took to the podium to discuss her newest book, The Midnight Feast, as well as her writing process (fascinating!) and then field questions. I was in heaven.

Lucy is wearing the black top. She’s delightful!

Greenville offers so many wonderful opportunities, but this might take the cake. M. Judson is a treasure, as is Lucy Foley. I encourage you to check out Ms. Foley’s book tour.
