I’m back with a tardy, picture heavy, work laden post. This is definitely my busy season and this year is no exception. Whew! I’m typing this from my car while watching Emery trot around the ring on Barsook. It’s freezing, but she’s always happy to get on a horse. Bodie, Gipper and I are staying warm in the car.
I’m kicking things off with a round up of Elf on the Shelf happenings around our house. I love finding new elf shenanigans on the internet, and Etsy is a great place to find some cute elf clothes/props. Chippy and Olivia have been busy!

Bless his heart…..Chippy has the dreaded man cold. He might be like this for a while.
The Elf plates are from yours truly and are available on my Etsy site, EmeryBodie.

My favorite night of the holiday season was last Tuesday: Advent by Candlelight at our church. This event is part of the women’s ministry and my dear friend, Casey, and I love setting our tables and inviting our mom and closest friends to share in this magical evening with us. I failed to take any pictures at the actual event, but I did manage to snap photos of our tables during setup. My centerpiece was my dessert: Ina Garten’s cheesecake with raspberry sauce. Just like every recipe I’ve ever made using Ina’s cookbooks, it was delicious. I hate that I didn’t take a picture! It’s a time consuming dessert, but well worth the effort.

Other than moving elves and baking, most of my time has been spent in front of my embroidery machine. Below is a sampling of what I’ve been stitching:
mini backpack purse
sherpas
tennis bag tags
coordinating Christmas outfits and bows for sweet sisters
Stephen Joseph backpack
more coordinating Christmas outfits for more sweet sisters
Alabama gear for the big game (vest and throw)
Chuggingtion Brewster applique tee
personalized stockings
and a vinyl project….an Etsy order for a personalized pencil box with Lilly Pulitzer inspired vinyl.
Anyone ever try to wrap gifts with a cat’s assistance? Oy.
And I’ll leave you with this simple Elf idea….shove them in a coat hood and call it good. Thankfully, our weather was warmer last week when I did this and Bodie didn’t need to wear his coat.
Merry Everything!
