I purchased a heat press second hand a few months ago and just this past week fired that baby up and put her to good use. And then I became obsessed. No shirt is safe around me! I’m particularly loving the glitter heat transfer vinyl, but this stuff isn’t cheap. I need to find someplace other than big box retail stores to purchase.
My sweet friend, D, threw a little Olympics party Friday night, so I made a bunch of winter sports themed shirt for the kiddos in attendance. I did a horrible job taking pictures, but D set up a delicious taco bar and made a yummy cake with the Olympic rings made out of candy.
I made a few Valentine shirts as well for Emery and her cousin, Kelsey.
Emery requested a horse shirt and I was happy to oblige.
And I did manage to stitch a monogram on a bag for a friend to give her hubby.
In between all of my heat pressing, I managed to squeeze in a great swim this week. I adore being in the water. Swimming is probably my favorite workout and I love that I’m not achy the next day. Tennis is so much fun and running is an excellent way for me to burn off the crazy, but I must be getting old because my knees always hurt the next day. I see more swimming in my future. My TomTom and waterproof ipod touch are my essentials for the pool. Serious game changers.
The weather this weekend has been gross. Super rainy and cold. Hubs is out of town and I think the kids and I are getting a little stir crazy. I’ve been trying to avoid all of the indoor kid activity places (trampoline parks, bounce houses, etc.), until this flu craze dies down a bit, but I think I’m about to reach my breaking point. Yesterday I backed some of the cars out of the garage and the kids had fun with their heelies and scooters, but I’m out of ideas for today. Gipper’s friend is staying with us this weekend, so I’m also dealing with two stir crazy dogs as well!
Speaking of Gipper, his head tilt game is strong. He never fails to cock his head from side to side when I ask him questions. It’s pretty much the cutest thing ever. Spoiled dog.
Some girlfriends and I treated ourselves to a movie and dinner last night. We seldom do this, but we were all pretty excited to see Fifty Shades Freed. Not going to lie, these books and films are such a guilty pleasure of mine. We had so much fun discussing the movie over drinks and appetizers at Bar Louie. A most excellent way to spend a cold, rainy night.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
