It’s the busiest time of the year

‘Tis the season to be buried under orders while trying to decorate and keep up with all the super fun holiday parties and happenings!  It’s chaos, but it’s all good.  This is my view most nights….cluttered monogramming room with Hallmark movies on the television.  I love it.  Below are a few orders I’ve recently completed.  I love the festive moose shirt!  The stockings were dropped off by a new client and I’m not certain where she purchased them, but they stitched beautifully and are so pretty.

Our elves arrived last week!  Chippy and Olivia have created a little mischief this season….and they made a huge mess baking cookies and didn’t clean it up!

I finished decorating the exterior of the house last week.  I keep things fairly simple–just a single boxwood wreath on every window hung by a wide PINK ribbon and a lantern on each step.  The kids are begging to add some lights to the trees…..we’ll see.  I’ve hung a wreath on the windows for years, but this is the first year I’ve used fresh, live greenery and now I’ll never go back to the fake stuff.  I am smitten with these wreaths, and the best part is that I purchased them through the Cancer Society of Greenville, so a portion of the proceeds went directly to those dealing with cancer.  Members of the Cancer Society of Greenville even delivered the wreaths to my house.  I’m so happy I learned about this fundraiser.  Local readers, please consider buying your holiday decorations from the Cancer Society in the future.  In addition to the boxwood wreaths, they have magnolia wreaths and poinsettias and garlands in lots of different sizes.

Last, but certainly not least, my dear friend, Casey, and I hosted our fifth annual cookie swap party yesterday.  I didn’t take a single picture!!!!!  I’m annoyed at myself because the platters and trays of cookies were stunning!  And everyone looked so pretty in their holiday outfits.  My friend, Deidre, managed to get this shot at the end of the party.  Casey and I alternate houses for this shindig and this year was my turn to host.  We had over thirty friends come over and mingle and sip and enjoy a relaxing afternoon with just us girls.  The weather was stunning and we even sat outside for a bit on the back porch.  Heavenly!  Now today is all PTA, Publix, Pak Mail, wrapping and monogramming.  Whew!
