Happy Monday! I hope you all had a fabulous Halloween and enjoyed the weekend…our weekend is still going, thanks to a teacher workday and Election Day. EmeryBodie is kicking things off with the younger fellas! Like I say every year, shopping for the men in my life is much harder than shopping for the ladies. However, Bodie started his list early this year and I have been keeping notes of items he needs, so I have a pretty good idea how his Christmas morning will look.
Bodie isn’t a huge gamer, but when the mood strikes he wants the right equipment. Our current Xbox has served us well, but an upgrade would be nice. Bodie and my fifteen year old nephew are both asking for the newest Xbox, the series S. It’s still in stock at the moment at Wal-Mart and Target, plus online at Amazon. If you’re in need of a big ticket item for a teen or tween boy, this might check the boxes. Available here: https://amzn.to/4dVx2Lw

Bodie likes a curved monitor for his gaming sessions. This one has great reviews and is a decent price point. I can think of many boys his age who would love to find this under the tree! Grab it here: https://amzn.to/3ZlkbOg

Some games are huge. If your gamer plays a lot of games, he or she may need extra storage. I honestly do not know much about this as Bodie really only plays a handful of games and he’s never needed additional storage, but one of his buddies mentioned needing an expansion card for his Xbox. The Seagate brand offers a solid solution. Shop here: https://amzn.to/47s2luR.

This next item may seem a little juvenile, but I honestly think any male from 3 to 103 would get a kick out of this gravity defying remote controlled car. I saw this on Instagram and immediately looked it up on Amazon. I’m intrigued. Apparently this little car climbs walls! The price tag is only $20! See for yourself here: https://amzn.to/3XJDoYD

Bodie continues to amass quite the hat collection and his current over the door hook system doesn’t suffice any longer. Something like this hanger would allow him to actually see what he has while keeping them from getting crushed. Santa, click here: https://amzn.to/402k4Yg

We’ve finally reached the age when Bodie is asking for more clothes than toys and I am not okay. To add insult to injury, he’s asking for Lululemon. Great. Now I’ve got two kids in their Lulu era. Bodie is hopeful the men’s XS will fit. He requested hoodies, but I like this crew neck as well because it’s uniform approved at his middle school. https://shop.lululemon.com/c/mens-jackets-and-hoodies-hoodies/_/N-8rn

In recent years Bodie has asked for fun Nike shoes for Christmas. This year he’s branching into the world of Birkenstocks. Namely, the Boston clogs. These seem to be selling out in his size at many places. I found only limited sizes in the taupe color at Nordstrom, Zappos and Amazon. Try your luck at Nordy here: https://www.nordstrom.com/s/birkenstock-boston-soft-clog-men/3409104?origin=keywordsearch-personalizedsort&breadcrumb=Home%2FAll%20Results&color=250 and Amazon here: https://amzn.to/4fe5JfC.

Bodie did not ask for this next item, but I hope he does one day! My sister, who’s a photographer, noticed that quite a few young men traded in their “spy kid watches” for something dressier at a recent homecoming photo shoot. I AM HERE FOR THIS! I’m not saying your teenager needs a Rolex, but this Swiss Army watch is incredibly handsome and the brand is tried and true. The price is steep, but this is something that will last a lifetime. Truthfully, this may be better as a special birthday or graduation gift, but I can’t resist including it in this gift guide. All of the color combinations are spectacular. If you really want to break the bank and you’re shopping for a gent who needs a rugged watch, this one is pretty incredible: https://amzn.to/4fkMReS.

A retainer cleaner might not be the most exciting gift under the tree, but I can think of many kids that would benefit from one. I dug around on Amazon and landed on this for Bodie: https://amzn.to/48niCSx. The reviews are great and it can also be used without water for cleaning air pods!

Another not-very-exciting gift that Bodie enjoys is Dr. Squatch soap. Bodie usually showers in my bathroom, which means he keeps his Dr. Squatch soap in my shower. I am guilty of using it! It’s fabulous! The bourbon scent is wonderful. One of these trios will likely be in Bodie’s stocking. So many options here: https://amzn.to/48rh4GY.

Along with tweezers, I’ve noticed that nail clippers have a tendency to disappear at my house. My solution? Nail clippers for stocking stuffers. We need to replace the missing clippers and also add some to our travel bags. It’s one of those things that when you need them, you NEED them. Never be without nail clippers: https://amzn.to/4hGtKy6

I’m not sure why I never thought to search out sunscreen in tins for ski trips, but this looks like a perfect solution for skiers. Bonus: no plastic! Bodie always gets red when we’re skiing and it’s from the combination of wind, cold and sun. Dermatone has been around for ages, but I’ve never tried it. I’m excited to put this in stockings this year! Obviously great for winter sports because the tin fits in a jacket pocket, but TSA approved so ideal for any trip that involves carry on baggage only. Dermatone is available here: https://amzn.to/4eaSmvP

I am not sure if this Steve Spangler line of science experiments existed when Emery was little, but I was unaware if they did. She would have loved them and many of these will make excellent stocking stuffers. That being said, this snow kit looks like fun for all ages and ties in perfectly with our upcoming ski trip and Dermatone skin protector. I hope it’s not too messy. Since it never snows in South Carolina, we’ll make our own here: https://amzn.to/3CeNAQw.
