Happy Easter, Anniversary, and Monogram Monday

We were on spring break last week (more on that in tomorrow’s Travel Tuesday), but I found some time to monogram a few items before we headed to the coast.

‘Tis the season for towels.  A few beach towel orders are starting to trickle in, along with a sweet hostess gift that was given by a friend on Easter to her MIL and SIL.  The hand towels are the Threshold brand and they are fabulous.  I have these same towels in aqua and they’re are definitely my favorite kitchen towels.  The Everyone foaming hand soaps can be found at Wal-Mart.  I love their scents and the fact that they’re green.IMG_7108IMG_7105‘Tis also the season for seersucker, which thrills me.  Baby boy clothes are just as cute as little girl clothes, if you ask me!IMG_7093IMG_7127

A few graduation orders have also made their way to my little shop.  I am ecstatic with how these laundry bags turned out.  These are going to a group of seniors from their bible study leaders.  Monogrammed gifts are so thoughtful.

Speaking of monogrammed gifts…..this is the project that kept me so busy last month!  I wrote a little article for our neighborhood magazine.  Creating the samples and photographing each item took some time, but I think the article makes me look like I know what I’m doing….kinda sorta maybe????F6D72E34-B9B3-459B-A4D7-9C3FBBD123DFMy sister was kind enough to edit the article for me.  Alison was a journalism major at Notre Dame and did a stint as a reporter for a few years after college.  Hopefully I’ll have the opportunity to contribute again to Thornblade Life magazine.

I had to get a new planner last week as mine ends in June and I’ve got appointments and camps and swim team stuff and vacations and all sorts of craziness already scheduled for summer.  I’m old school and still use a paper planner, but it works for me.  I picked up this small planner and Wally and immediately added a navy blue monogram.  Not too bad for less than $5.IMG_7159I’ll leave you these pictures of the hubs and me living our best life on our honeymoon.  Tough to beat drinking champagne and wakeboarding in St. Barth’s!  We celebrated twelve years of marriage the other day and these pictures (taken with a Canon Digital Elph, mind you) popped up in my Shutterfly memories.  We look like babies!  IMG_7276IMG_7275IMG_7277I hope you all had a wonderful Easter!
