We’ve had quite a few extra fun activities the past week. October is such a gorgeous month! I love the warm days and cool nights. Perfect for glamping at the driving range, which is just what Bodie and Ben did last Saturday….along with a few dozen of their closest friends.

The very next day was Drool at the Pool for the pups (and kids). Much like Wagging at the Waterpark, Gipper had the time of his life. I believe this is the first year our club has done this event and I sure hope it’s not the last. We all had a fabulous time.

Gipper hitched a ride home in his BFF’s Jeep. Seriously, his most perfect day ever.
This beauty in my backyard is still going strong. I love hydrangeas.
I made an old recipe I copied from a fellow Junior League member about a decade ago when she served it at a committee meeting at her house. It’s just as delicious as I remembered. I love digging through my recipe box and finding forgotten about favorites. Recipe below pictures.
Pimento Chicken Ziti:
2 cups cooked chicken (about three breasts); shredded
4 cups cooked pasta (ziti)
1 cup mayo
1 cup sour cream
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 medium onion finely chopped
2 and 1/4 cups shredded sharp cheddar
1 4 oz jar of pimentos
1/3 cup dry white wine
Combine all ingredients and bake for 40-45 minutes at 350 degrees. I served it with roasted broccoli.
Several weeks ago Emery asked if I would bring Hunter to pick her up from school. She said it’s not fair that Gipper always gets to go for car rides, but Hunter never does. I don’t think Hunter really cares, but I humored Em and brought Hunter with me one Friday afternoon. Well, Hunter was a BIG hit in carline and now it’s our new ritual. Emery calls it “Floof Friday” and Hunt rides shotgun with me to MRCA. He is such a chill cat and just lays in the seat while I drive. Emery is ecstatic when she sees him in the car. It’s pretty cute, if I do say so myself.

That’s all folks! Check back tomorrow for Monogram Monday. Have a great week!
