All week I’ve been checking the weather because the forecast for Halloween in Greenville was not looking too good.  Not just rain showers, but wind, storms and torrential downpours were all predicted.  The weather was just as bad as we were expecting, but the system rolled out of town just minutes before trick or treating commenced.  Thank goodness!  The kids were able to wear their costumes without having to cover them up with ponchos and raincoats.  Us moms stayed nice and dry while following behind the kiddos.  We had the best night!  Halloween is always fun, but this year was extra fun.  This morning, however, was ROUGH.

The rain was so heavy that Gipper ended up getting his Christmas gift early:  a Notre Dame rain coat.  He stayed warm and dry while coordinating with Bodie’s costume.IMG_0972I was so worried that the weather forecast was going to keep trick or treaters away and I was going to get stuck with all of this candy…and a teal pumpkin full of bouncy balls.  I always try to have chocolate, nut free options and a non-food option.IMG_0975We had quite the spread (subs, fruit, veggies, chips, dips) but I only managed to snap a picture of the fruit tray.  IMG_0978Heading out!  Rain was gone!IMG_0979We zipped around in two golf carts.  Here’s a glimpse of my friend zooming past us with Bodie on the back of her golf cart.IMG_0980Cheers to us for not losing any kids this year!IMG_0986IMG_0987IMG_0988

Trading commenced as soon as we got home.  I will be digging through the buckets later today and making my selections.  IMG_0983
