Last weekend some dear friends hosted a Galentine’s Favorite Things party. I can’t think of a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon. We enjoyed delicious snacks and drinks while participating in a white elephant type exchange ($50 price limit). Everyone brought their A game, that’s for sure! I left the party wanting to buy every single thing that was shared. One of my friends and fellow attendees compiled a list of the items, which I have turned into a blog post with clickable links. Consider it my Valentine’s Day gift to everyone! Bookmark this because you’re going to want to go back and reference it for birthdays, Easter baskets, etc. I’m sure many of these will reappear in my gift guides for the rest of the year. Many of our favorite things are available on Amazon Prime, which makes for super convenient shopping.
Galentine’s Favorite Things Party

I’ll give a brief blurb on each item and share the link, in no particular order. I couldn’t even begin to rank these goodies!
I’ll start with the gift I chose to share: a KenzKustomz RX Bag and a bottle of Cheers pills. I was influenced by Hello Happiness and Beth Chappo. The bag is adorable and perfect for travel. The hangover pills are great for anytime you overindulge, which seems to happen more when traveling. Bag: https://kenzkustomz.com/products/rx-mini-nude and pills: https://amzn.to/3YLMWjD

Next up, the gift I took home with me: a bath pillow. I have no idea why it never occurred to me to purchase one of these. I typically use a rolled towel for my “pillow” which is not ideal because it doesn’t stay in place and it creates more laundry. Who has time for that? I actually stole this gift because I was so excited by the idea. It came with a bottle of Prosecco. Genius. Snag a pillow for yourself here: https://amzn.to/3Yses61

I used this next item at a friend’s house Sunday night while watching the Super Bowl. It’s amazing. Even better if you have an outlet near your couch. The cover is removable for washing. It’s so soft you’ll want to use it even without the heat. Unlike many electric blankets, this one is pretty enough to leave out. It’s from Target. I plan on stealing this next gift idea for the women in my family. The following items were grouped together to form one spectacular present. First, a large stainless steel bowl perfect for whipping up big salads. It’s a great price point! The bowl was paired with the easiest to use salad “hands” made from handsome Acacia wood, delicious olive oil, and practical kitchen shears. I’ve already purchased the shears and am amazed at how much better they are than my old pair. The bowl, shears and salad hands are all available on Amazon, linked below.

Salad hands: https://amzn.to/40R77OZ
Shears: https://amzn.to/40LZfyh (love the colors!)
The olive oil was apparently featured in Oprah’s gift guide. It’s THAT good. My friend who put together this wonderful gift suggests using the ALIVE EVOO for salad dressings and dipping bread. It’s magical as is. For cooking with heat, she suggests the AWAKE variety. Get them here: https://brightland.co/products/alive Bonus that the bottles are pretty and look great sitting on your counter.

One of my friends is a professional organizer and she contributed some packing essentials as her white elephant gift. She included packing cubes and a HAT HOOK with her gift. The packing cubes I already have, but I had to come home and immediately purchase this hat hook. I’ve got a few beach trips coming up that require flying, and this hook will be a game changer for carrying on my luggage without squishing my big sun hat. The hook is available here: https://amzn.to/3k0x3Hl

I have been a huge Teil Duncan fan for years. I love her style and creations. Teil has the most beautiful coffee table book available on her site (and also locally here in Greenville at a few stores) that would make a fabulous hostess gift. This book was stolen the max number of times allowed during our exchange. It’s stunning. See for yourself here: https://www.teilduncan.com/collections/coffee-table-book/products/pre-order-the-color-teil

I have been a fan of Chanel eyeliner for years. I’ve worn the same graphite pencil since college. Every time I stray, I regret it. Apparently I am not alone in my love for Chanel eyeliner. This particular product was shared at the party and I’m eager to try it for myself. If you’d like to experience the greatness of Chanel eyeliner, click here: https://www.ulta.com/p/stylo-yeux-waterproof-long-lasting-eyeliner-pimprod2030110?sku=2583032 Resistant to water, oil, and humidity. Smudge proof. Sold! Comes in 10 great colors

Calpak, I hope you’re listening! I have been on the Calpak restock list for their Luke Duffel in celery for MONTHS. With upcoming trips on the horizon that will need to be carry on only, a top notch duffel that will attach to my suitcase is a priority. A party guest brought this Amazon bag as her favorite thing and one of my best friends ended up with it. She’s been using it for the gym for over a week now and can’t stop singing its praises. It looks and feels very similar to the Calpak Luka Duffel, but at a fraction of the price. And it’s on Prime. The reviews are great. I think I’ll end up with this instead of the Calpak bag. The color choices are pretty, but I think I’m leaning towards the off white. Read the reviews here: https://amzn.to/3E72yGG

File this next product under “things I never knew I needed.” Wrist scrunchies for washing your face!!!! How genius is this?! Apparently I am late to the party with these scrunchies as many of my friends are already users. I get so annoyed when my sleeves and watch get wet while washing my face. It never occurred to me that an absorbent scrunchie would solve my problem. You’ll definitely want to get some here: https://amzn.to/3lysbJS They come in a four pack, thank goodness, because I know Emery will steal these.

“Spring” sports are in full swing, which means one thing: freezing your a$$ off on the sidelines. Here’s a little gadget that may ease the pain a bit: rechargeable hand warmers. I believe these are too large to use while skiing, but they’re perfect for sports games, hunting, camping, golf, etc. The fun colors are an added bonus! I can’t think of anyone who wouldn’t use these. Treat yourself or a loved one here: https://amzn.to/3jVbGXN *make sure you pay attention to the amount. Some colors come as a two pack and some are singles.*

I think I’m going to get this next gift for my kids for Easter. If I’d had my act together, I’d have gotten it for Valentine’s Day, but such is life. I love the adult version of Cards Against Humanity. The kiddie version has great reviews and is endorsed by the sweet friend and mother who gave this as her “favorite thing” gift. Enjoy with your family here: https://amzn.to/3I02V71

This is a fun list, right? There’s something for everyone, whether they’re parents, beauty junkies, world travelers, tired caregivers or avid cooks…and likely a mix of all of these things!
HAPPY GALENTINE’S DAY!
xoxo,
Ashley
