“Friends:” The One in Atlanta

My sister and I are HUGE fans of “Friends.” My children also love the show. Emery’s favorite character is Phoebe while Bodie is partial to Joey. If I had to choose, I’d probably go with Chandler as my favorite. But really I can make an argument for any of the six. We have watched the entire series numerous times and it’s never not funny.

I’m not certain how I learned about The Friends Experience, but as soon as I realized Atlanta was on the schedule, I booked tickets for Emery, Bodie and me. My sister and her children were eager to join us.

Thankfully, The Friends Experience is held in a shopping center in Sandy Springs, which isn’t too far from my sister’s house. We went on a Saturday afternoon and, although crowded, we never felt rushed. The employees were all very helpful and friendly and encouraged us to go at our own pace.

I assumed the exhibit was a recreation of the “Friends” set, so I was delighted to discover that it’s actually real items from the show. Some of our favorite moments were included in the exhibit, such as Joey’s entire Chandler wardrobe. We were thrilled to notice that Chandler’s bedroom door was sawed in half, which happens during one of my all time favorite episodes. If you’re a “Friends” lover like me, you’ll recognize these scenes. We had so much fun!
