Father’s Day Gift Ideas

Oh boy…it’s that time of year again. The men in my family are tough when it comes to gift giving. They all have everything they need and tend to just buy what they want when the mood strikes. Christmas, birthdays and Father’s Day are always a struggle. I’ve done my best to curate a list that works for hubby, dad and FIL. Hopefully at least one item works for the dads in your life as well.

I should let it be known that Bodie wants to install a putting green “for Dad.” Ha! That’s not happening right now, but I do have a golf item that might scratch that itch. If I’m being perfectly honest, I’m not totally sure how this works, but Bodie is all about a Mobile Launch Monitor and seems to think that Ben will enjoy. I’m not certain if this is more for Bodie or Ben, but I can see any golfer having fun with a Rapsodo. Rapsodo is one of the more wallet friendly options on the market and it’s available on Amazon Prime, thankfully. Shop here: https://amzn.to/4j3x7yl

My dad and Ben both enjoy bourbon, typically rye for my dad. They’re not into mixed bourbon drinks, but they love a delicious brown water with a big rock. A whiskey smoking kit is a very cool way to embellish a beverage! These kits run the gamut as far as prices go. Since I’m not sure how much either of them will use one, I figure I should start with an inexpensive option and upgrade should this become routine. Regardless of the model, this will make for a fun party trick. Shop here: https://amzn.to/3ZnV4ta

We already own a Weber gas grill and a Recteq smoker, so I am not sure we have room for a Blackstone, but I think my family would love an outdoor griddle. I should probably ask for this for my birthday since I’m the one who despises cleaning the kitchen after the fam cooks bacon every weekend! I’m also the one who loves cooking a big batch of pancakes and fried egg sandwiches. However, I think Ben would also enjoy a Blackstone and I can think of many fellas I know that already own and love their griddles. If you’re in the market for one, they’re available on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/4dqEdf5

Turtlebox is all the rage in the speaker world these days, and for good reason. We were very impressed by the big Turtlebox speakers playing in all the chairlift lines at Steamboat this season. They are extremely durable and the sound quality is superb. The smaller speaker, the Ranger, is ideal for situations that require a more compact speaker. If you are shopping for a bluetooth speaker that won’t take up a lot of room, I suggest the Ranger. The best part is it’s magnetic. It will stick to a golf cart like a range finder. These sell out quickly, so I wouldn’t dilly dally if you need one! All colors in stock at the moment: https://turtleboxaudio.com/products/turtlebox-speaker-ranger

Lastly, no Father’s Day gift guide is complete without some Stio gear. Given our summer travels, this Hylas hooded pullover is much needed. This style covers the neck, which makes it even better than the UPF shirts Ben already owns. And so much easier than reapplying sunscreen every few hours. The color choices are excellent. Shop them here: https://www.stio.com/products/mens-hylas-hooded-pullover. I included the ladies’ version on my Mother’s Day gift guide and I am not disappointed. The performance fabric is dreamy. 50+ UPF rating.
