I’m a little lot embarrassed to admit that we have never had a professional photographer take our family pictures.  This year I decided we would finally get that checked off the list and now I have no idea why I waited so long.  The process was super quick and easy!  After polling my friends I contacted Lauren Miller (www.laurenmillerphotography.com) and set up a fifteen minute mini session scheduled for last Sunday morning.  I booked the mini session because I didn’t think the kids (and hubs) would last much longer than that.  We lucked out with gorgeous weather at charming McPherson Park in downtown Greenville.  It’s been so hot here lately, but last Sunday actually felt like fall and we weren’t melting in our winter clothes.  Emery was a perfect subject, but Bodie was acting pretty silly and uncooperative.  However, Lauren worked her magic and managed to get a lot of good pictures in just a few minutes.  I’m pretty certain we’ll be doing this yearly from now on.  Two days after our photo shoot, I received an email to the most amazing photographs of my little munchkins.  Now I’m faced with the daunting task of choosing which to frame.

You can see for yourself what I mean about Bodie….he kept pretending to trip and fall when Lauren asked him to hold his sister’s hand and “walk normally.”  The football prop idea was 100% Bodie’s, so I guess he redeemed himself.  Emery was insistent about getting a photo of her daddy carrying her.  Oh dear.  I feel sorry for the man she marries…she’s got some very high expectations.  Ben cannot say “no” to her.

Our weather is going to be less than stellar this weekend as Hurricane Nate heads up tp the Carolinas, so I’m extra thrilled Lauren squeezed us in last weekend.  Greenville friends, I can’t recommend Lauren Miller Photography enough!
