Our Easter weekend was delightful. We spent Sunday with my family in Atlanta and had the perfect day. The weather was gorgeous, food delicious and company extraordinary. The Easter bunny found us before we left town.
Phlat balls, Surfer Dudes, new bathing suits and some candy. The Phlat balls have been lots of fun thus far (my kids LOVE a ball) and we’re eager to try the Surfer Dudes in a few days when we head to Isle of Palms with friends.
Emery has been busy making flower arrangements using blooms from my prize winning snowball bush. She’s got an eye for it!
I love that she added a few sprigs from our Azalea bushes in this arrangement. Must be Master’s Week!
Today was one of those days when I just could not be inside. I grilled and we ate outside (after spending an hour wiping pollen off everything) and the kids flew drones and jumped on the trampoline….just gorgeous. Sunny, warm and no humidity. I even took the kids to our high school baseball game this afternoon. Perfect day for a ballgame.
I found a tick on Emery at the baseball game, which has completely freaked me out. I’ve discovered them on our pets in the past, but never a child. Lord have mercy. I scrubbed their heads so hard in the shower tonight I’m surprised they have any hair left on their scalps. Lesson learned: full body checks every night and wear hats when in the wooded areas. She actually felt the sting of the tick and said to me, “Mommy! Something is biting my neck!” I about fainted when I saw the little pest. GROSS.
Gipper did an excellent job supervising the pollen removal. Notice my Notre Dame wine glass….it’s in honor of the Lady Irish winning the women’s tournament! They won the title my senior year as well. Cheers, ladies! Nicely done.
I gathered all of the Easter decorations to be put back into the attic. I don’t do much Easter decorating other than bunnies. They’re just too cute! Until next year, guys!
Spring break is off to an excellent start, minus the tick!
