It’s not officially spring yet, but the calendar says “March” and we’ve had a few warm, sunny days down here. I know it’s Fool’s Spring, but I’ll take what I can get.
My sister and I are already planning our Easter get together, which led to Easter basket discussions. I’ve got a few items in my cart that I know will delight my children. I may even make a basket for myself!
Easter basket goodies are my favorite. I treat our baskets a lot like our Christmas stockings, but with a warm weather twist. The items are never grand, but they’re always fun little surprises.
Have I mentioned I also love Easter decor? These vibrant bunnies make an appearance year after year in my dining room and they always bring a smile to my face.

I also love Easter candy. My parents came up to visit one day last week and brought dozens of these. My weakness!
I’ll start with Emery’s basket. She is always guilty of stealing my hair products, so her Easter basket is the perfect opportunity to stock her own bathroom with our favorites. Moroccan Oil is hands down the best smelling shampoo and conditioner. Emery also loves how soft and tangle free her hair is after using this. I typically use the hydrating variety, but I think Em would do best with the volumizing formula. Thankfully, Amazon has a lot of options.

A few of the items from the fabulous Galentine’s party I attended last month are in heavy rotation at Casa Slagel, including the wrist scrunchies one of my brilliant friends shared with our group. I will not be putting these in Emery’s basket since we already own them, but I want to share with all of you again. How did I make it 43 years on this planet without a wrist scrunchie??? I love mine and so does Emery. We split the four pack so that we each have two sets: one to wash and one to wear. The ladies in your life will be thrilled with these.

Emery has wanted Bum Bum spray for a while, but last time we went to Sephora they were completely sold out of every single scent in every single size. Fortunately, they are back and plentiful online. Every product by Sol De Janeiro smells incredible. Neither of us can pick a favorite, so I think I’ll grab several of the mini sprays so Emery can try a few. I might be a little partial to the 62, but they’re all incredible. Amazon occasionally has these fragrances in stock, but I feel like Sephora is your best bet. Ulta does not carry this brand. I thought they did and popped in there during the holidays to grab some and was bummed. So, learn from my mistake! Sephora only for Brazilian Crush items.

Every year, without fail, the Easter Bunny brings my kids a pair of goggles. And he always brings the same kind: Speedo Vanquisher. These are the best goggles. I’m sorry to say that rounding out Emery’s basket will likely be several cans of Celsius. I am not a fan of the stuff and I certainly don’t think Emery needs much caffeine, but she gets so excited every time I cave and let her buy a can. It will be a rare treat.

My kids love the occasional card game, especially when family visits. They particularly love to play Spoons with my parents and Spot It or Uno with my in-laws. We need to update our arsenal and I’ve found a few that I think they will love. Sadly, Bodie can’t wear Chubbies. He’s still a touch too small. Thankfully, I discovered a very cool brand that offers the same look as Chubbies, but they’re available in kids sizes. Personally, I don’t get the hype, but Bodie and his friends are all about that Prime life. Just like Emery and her Celsius, Prime is a treat and not something I regularly purchase.
