This is probably the most random post I’ve ever written, but it’s pretty indicative of what’s going on inside my head lately!  Every year at this time I start obsessing over summer.  I enjoy a festive cold snap during Christmas and a few cool days in the fall, but that’s it.  I am a warm weather person for sure.  So, when January rolls around and the forecast doesn’t indicate any warm days in the near future, I spend my time dreaming of summer.  Since I took a blogging break last summer, I thought I’d share a few pictures of items I did for EmeryBodie LLC and also tell you about a really fun adventure.

First up, the adventure.  Hubs and I, along with three other couples, booked a waterfall rappelling excursion with Green River Adventures in Saluda, NC, back in July.  Saluda is only about an hour from Greenville, maybe less, so it’s a great place for a day trip.  I’ve done numerous trips with Green River Adventures and they’ve all been fantastic.  This particular trip was the Little Bradley Falls Rappel + Waterfall Trek Full Day Combo.  Our guides were wonderful and our day was full of thrills and memories to last a lifetime.  Truly, the waterfall rappel was way more intense than I anticipated.  I was a little nervous dropping over the edge, but so proud of what we accomplished at the end of the day.  If you’re in the area and looking for a great couples or adults only adventure, I highly recommend.  www.greenriveradventures.comOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERANext up, a super fun (and surprising) drink to help you skip the wine….anyone else struggle with this?  Almost every evening I get the urge to have a glass of wine (or two) during the hell hour of homework/dinner prep.  I really do not need all of these empty calories, nor do I need to drink every night.  I realized this was almost a ritual, so in an effort to trick myself I discovered that making an unexpected mocktail totally works.  My good friend, Casey, told me about this concoction and I was definitely skeptical.  She suggested mixing La Croix with flavored kombucha and pouring in a fun glass to make it feel special.  I am normally not a fan of kombucha, but I’ve learned that buying the flavored varieties and diluting with my tried and true La Croix flavors makes it delicious!  This is my favorite combo:img_5756My friend has been experimenting with berry, pineapple and mango flavors.  Use a ratio of 2:1.  I pour twice as much La Croix as kombucha into the glass and this seems to work well.  I never realized how many flavors of kombucha are on the market.  All of these are available at Publix.  Try it!img_5804img_5805img_5803Lastly, here are some summer orders I did last year that never made it to the blog….img_2351It’s never too early to start planning for camp!  I love how this periwinkle trunk looks with it’s Lilly inspired decal.img_2280Precious sister outfits and a lunch box for day camp.  Gotta love those seersucker ruffles!img_2306This may seem like a back to school item, but we actually used these items a ton over the summer for swim meets and looooong days at the pool.  Our bill at the pool snack bar quickly gets out of control, so a few days per week I pack lunches and snacks for the kids.  These lunch bots from Amazon were perfect.  They’re environmentally friendly and have three divided compartments for a variety of foods.  The Bumkins snack bags, also from Amazon, are ideal for goldfish crackers, veggie straws, dried cereal, Nilla wafers, etc.  I just stick mine on the top shelf of the dishwasher and they’re good to go.  I love products that are easy to reuse.  The Lunch Bots also go in the dishwasher and the vinyl has never once faded, peeled or bubbled.

That’s it for my crazy post.  Happy Thursday!
