We had the most incredible weekend: perfect weather, the school’s fall carnival, and a visit from our El Paso family! Hubby’s brother and his family live in west Texas, and although we see each other regularly during vacations in Colorado and Michigan, visits to each other’s households occur only every few years. The kids are close in age and we each have one boy and one girl. They truly love each other. I did a horrible job taking pictures during the visit, but the kids had a blast. First up, the carnival Friday evening. Our elementary school puts on a fall carnival every year and I think this year was the best ever. The weather could not have been better and the rides/activities were a huge hit.
Emery and Alexa got a kick out of trying to dress alike and pretending to be twins. Funny, because Alexa and Bodie actually look a lot alike while Em and Austin could pass as siblings. We each got a blondie and a brunette.
The weather was warm and sunny all weekend. Like, crazy warm. Upper 70s and just gorgeous. When not at the carnival, the kids were outside on the trampoline, riding bikes or playing baseball. The adults had some fun, too. We got a sitter Saturday night and enjoyed a delicious dinner at Nantucket. We sat at the bar so we could watch all of the amazing football games. GO IRISH!!!!! We were all sad to see them leave Sunday, including Gipper.
The kids thought it would be super fun to pull their mattresses off the box springs and sleep on the floor. Um, okay. No, thanks!
Alexa and Emery are both obsessed with Justice. Funny enough, I surprised the girls with matching pajamas from Justice and Aunt Korey surprised them with the sweet doe hats. Even though they definitely need the hats during this visit, they’ll sure get some wear during our trip to Steamboat next month.
Happy Monday!
