My friend, Casey, and I hosted our annual cookie swap party Sunday. The soiree was at my house this year (we alternate). We started this tradition in 2012 and have only missed once due to Covid. We had sent out invitations and made plans to host the party outside in an effort to keep everyone healthy, but had to cancel due to illness. So, I guess this was our eleventh time hosting in twelve years. Stupid 2020. But I digress.

We always hold the party at 3:00 on a Sunday in December. Our guests are asked to bring three dozen cookies to share. Casey and I always prepare a charcuterie board and order chicken salad from Chicken Salad Chick. We open some wine and that’s about it! It’s the easiest party to host and always one of my favorite days of the year.

Casey, you’re the best co-hostess a girl could want and an even better friend.

The Hostesses
The Guests

All of these ladies are near and dear to me and I’m incredibly thankful we got to spend an afternoon together in the midst of all of the holiday hustle and bustle.

I hope you’re enjoying this festive time of year. It truly is the most wonderful.
