My kids have spring fever something fierce! Easter is late this year, which means our spring break is later than normal, which makes for some burned out kiddos (and adults) right about now. Thankfully, we’ve had lots of activities to burn off some of the crazy.Bodie has two flag football games under his belt by now and he’s loving every second. We’re playing with i9, which is the same organization as his sweet little basketball team, and the football program is just as wonderful. The coaches, parents, children and sportsmanship are top notch. And so are the spectators.
Emery’s tennis matches are on hiatus for a few weeks, but she’s still having fun attending clinics with her buddies and Coach Rod.
This was a fun surprise. Bodie brought me a tadpole while I was making the bed last weekend. Oy. We have hundreds of them in a little backyard pond, but Bodie really wanted this little guy to move inside and become his pet. Little Tad was released shortly after this photo.
In other Bodie news, I chaperoned the first grade field trip to The Children’s Museum Thursday. I love Greenville’s children’s museum, but all I can say is, “God bless teachers.”
Have you ever heard of PhoneSoap? After several yucky illnesses visited my household this winter, I became more aware of just how germy certain surfaces that I touch ALL THE TIME can get. I ordered this cool gadget from Amazon and I am so happy with how easy it is to clean my phone several times per day. Check out www.phonesoap.com for details, but basically PhoneSoap is a UV-C light (like a mini tanning bed for your phone) that kills 99% of household germs in a ten minute cycle. Just place your phone in the case and shut the lid. You can even charge your phone while it’s in the PhoneSoap device. The light on top lets you know when the cycle is complete. PhoneSoap comes in several colors. I chose aqua and I don’t mind leaving it sitting on my nightstand. PhoneSoap is about $50 and I will definitely be purchasing these for gifts.
Time to hit the hay. We’re leaving town for a few days with some friends and this is the current state of my kitchen:
Good night!
