Happy Monday! If you’re still in need of a Thanksgiving dessert, I’ve got just the solution: brownie pie. Emery went to a friend’s house for Friendsgiving last night and offered to bring a dessert. I liked the idea of a pie, but I don’t know too many kids/teens who go nuts over the traditional Thanksgiving pies. I came across a recipe for brownie pie while searching and knew this was the winner. Bonus: it’s quick and easy to throw together. I found the recipe on Dinner, then Dessert’s site. I’ll share it below and link it here: https://dinnerthendessert.com/brownie-pie/

Ingredients
- 1 pie crust , unbaked
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter , melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips , divided
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Line your pie tin with your pie crust.
- Whisk together melted butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla extract.
- Add the cocoa powder and flour and whisk until just combined.
- Stir in ¾ cup of the chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into pie crust.
- Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips over the batter.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes (tent with aluminum foil if pie crust is browning too quickly).

I was told it was a hit and was thrilled that a few slices came back home with Emery so I could try. This is definitely my new go-to dessert. I will say that I had to cook about ten minutes longer than suggested, although the recipe notes mentioned that you may have to increase cooking time if you want a more brownie like filling.
Happy Friendsgiving!

How beautiful is this table??!!
We are off on a really fun vacation tomorrow….I’ll report back next week with a Travel Tuesday post. I also have a Small Business Saturday post scheduled to post Saturday morning. Happy Thanksgiving!
