Bodie turned ELEVEN last week and all he wanted for his birthday was a trip to Steamboat for some skiing. We have IKON passes and a place to stay, so the airfare was the biggest expense. Unfortunately, that turned out to be on the high side (it was President’s Day weekend, so it was expected), but totally worth it. Not only did Bodie get to ski four days with his dad, but his cousin and two uncles also made the trek to Steamboat.

If he wasn’t skiing, he was eating.

The Slagel men were treated to gorgeous bluebird days almost the entire trip!

The men were gifted one major powder day from the ski gods, which made them ridiculously happy. I was nervous when I saw the double black diamond sign, but they all survived. Even thrived. These gents were in their element!

Bodie’s birthday trip coincided with Steamboat’s Winter Carnival. This was a cool sight!

The last supper…Ore House for the win! Thank you, Slagel fellas, for showing my Peach such a great time for his birthday.

Lest you think Emery and I let the boys have all the fun, my SIL and niece came to stay with us while their guys were in CO with Ben and Bodie. We had the best few days doing all the shopping, cooking, baking, watching chick flicks and catching up. I barely took any photos documenting our perfect weekend. I guess I was too busy having fun and playing tourist in our hometown.

Before Bodie left for his birthday adventure we celebrated at home with my parents. When Bodie came home from CO, the rock at Buena Vista was painted for him. What an incredible birthday! This one will be hard to top.
Happy Birthday, Bodie
