As promised, I’m back tonight with a few quick and easy birthday gift idea for little girls. Come to think of it, girls of almost any age would probably enjoy these gifts. Emery has two parties coming up for in the next week for sweet friends from school and she helped me come up with these gift ideas. From toddlers to tweens and all the years in between….
First up is a monogrammed hair brush (because who doesn’t need one of those!?!?!), which is cute AND practical. Add a few packages of hair ties (like Mommy wears) and a wild hair color and you’re sure to please. If the little girl on your shopping list is anything like my Emery, she’s obsessed with temporary hair color. And monograms. And pink. I picked up all of these items at CVS while waiting on a prescription and slapped a monogram on the hairbrush as soon as we got home. Easy peasy.
Next up: personalized clipboards. Emery received something similar to this last year and it has gotten so much use, especially in the past few weeks. Of course these come in handy during long car rides, but we’ve mainly been using Em’s for homework on the go since school started last month. Third grade is hard, y’all! Emery is occasionally doing homework at the baseball field and we’re frequently studying spelling words in the car on the way to school in the mornings, so her clipboard has been a lifesaver. A few of her friends have seen Emery’s and mentioned how “cool” it is. But since all work and no play is a bad combo, I decided to gift these with a box of gel markers. Emery has this same collection of pens and she’s a big fan. The clipboards are “ultimate clipboards” from Wal Mart and come with useful elastics to keep things in place.
TGIF!!!!! This week was long and busy! We celebrated surviving the week (and a tennis victory for me!) with pizza and wine and television tonight. Heavenly.
Have a great weekend!
