Whew! We officially hit the one week mark into Bodie’s freshman year and Emery’s senior year of high school. It was actually a pretty easy week. Emery has a light senior schedule this semester and Bodie enjoys all of his classes and sees his friends throughout the day. All in all, not too bad.
I need to back up a bit and share a fun dinner that my friend, Casey, planned for some rising 9th graders at RHS. Many of these boys went to elementary school together, but were split up for middle school, and are now coming back together in high school. They’ve kept in touch, but didn’t necessarily see each other on a regular basis. I’m happy to report that they didn’t miss a beat. It’s like no time passed. If you are local and need to feed a crowd, Tipsy Taco does an excellent job.

My senior girl did all the sweet senior things: monogrammed preschool backpack and painted jeans. When I was in high school, the girls all wore a black dress on the first day of school. Apparently that is not a thing anymore. Or at least not in South Carolina. Emery looked adorable! Her sweet friends, Abby and Sarah, helped immensely with the design and execution of the jeans. These girls are incredibly talented.

I hope everyone is getting back into the swing of things.
My meal planning game is strong at the moment and I’m all caught up on laundry. It’s amazing what a routine does for me.
