Happy Tuesday! Today’s post is kind of boring….I’ve been monogramming non-stop, so most of my pictures of late are orders. And a clean kitchen, but more on that in a minute.
A local customer asked if I could stitch her son’s name on his Pottery Barn Anywhere chair. This was surprisingly easy. She chose bright orange for the navy slipcover and the Fun House font. Adorable. I apologize for the crappy quality of all of my pictures today….we haven’t seen the sun in days and the lighting in my house is not great without natural sunlight helping me out. Or I took the pictures late at night.
He’s the baby boom reference….
Bandana bibs, seersucker terry cloth bibs, burp cloth, infant cap, baby travel bag…..lots of cute baby girl stuff.
I personalized a shark yogurt tube koozie for a customer. I love these things. I’m planning to do a bunch of them for Bodie’s baseball team when I’m snack mom in a few weeks.
Enough monogramming! Moving onto some house stuff….I picked up a few MacKenzie Child’s accessories for my laundry room/closet. All that’s left to do in this room is the sconce and this project is complete! Moving the laundry upstairs is the best decision I ever made. I adore MC’s Courtly Check pattern and it really pairs well with my new zebra wallpaper. Dryer sheets never looked so good, am I right?
A dear friend recently mentioned she follows an Instagram account that has made her rethink how she cleans and organizes her house. She said she’s never been more motivated to keep her house so tidy and the domino effect has been incredible. Well, shortly after she’s telling me this, I read about the same Insta genius on www.honeywerehome.com. Megan, of HWH, basically reiterated what my friend said. Obviously I was curious and had to check it out for myself. The Instagram handle is howjendoesit. I haven’t had a ton of time to dive deep into Jen’s philosophy, but I have implemented her #cleankitchenatnight routine. It’s incredible. The idea is to go to bed each night with your kitchen spotless. Not just simply doing the dishes and starting the dishwasher, but wiping down EVERYTHING and sweeping/vacuuming the floor. I am really trying to adhere to this and I can honestly say the results are surprising. Of course it’s nice waking up to a clean kitchen, but my whole day runs more smoothly when I walk downstairs to a sparkly kitchen. I’m more organized and productive. Try it. There’s even a hashtag. I challenged my friend, K, to do this with me and see if she experiences the same results. She agrees with me! We send each other pictures each night to hold us accountable. Here is my kitchen last night. I even tackled the sink with Comet.
xoxo,
Ashley
