Sunday afternoon my bestie, Casey, and I hosted our annual cookie swap. We alternate houses and this year was at Casey’s NEW house. It’s so cozy and perfect for her and her boys. I always say that this is the easiest party to host: we make a charcuterie board and serve up some Chicken Salad Chick in phyllo cups and call it good. The cookies are the star of the show. For beverages, we know our audience: water and wine. Bubble, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and Cabernet. And plenty of it. That’s it! We ask everyone to bring three dozen treats. About an hour into the party, we say the blessing and then everyone starts divvying up the treats. Keep a few disposable trays on hand in case someone needs an extra dish, but for the most part guests simply use the platter they brought their cookies on. We’ve lost count, but this was at least our twelfth year hosting this soiree.

Cookie Swap Party

Side note: all of the cheese was from Aldi and it was delicious.

I always make buckeyes.

Love these ladies and our annual celebration.

I highly encourage you to host a cookie swap with your friends. My family loves all the different cookies they get to taste Sunday night. We’ve been fighting over Casey’s coconut macaroons…delicious.
