I’m definitely not an Amazon expert, but I do use our Prime membership A LOT and I’ve compiled a list of items I’m excited to shop tomorrow and Wednesday. This list is random, but I hope it gives you some ideas. Many of these goodies are Christmas gifts for those of you who, like myself, like to shop early.
I’ve broken my list down into categories: household, electronics, back to school and fashion/beauty. Let’s start with household, shall we?
Amazon Prime Days: Household

Ben finally broke down and purchased a smoker this summer. He went with a Recteq model and we’re thrilled with it thus far. Bodie is probably the most smitten with this new toy and is always wanting to smoke something. He’s getting more adventurous and trying new recipes all the time. He smoked some salmon recently and enjoyed it. I think these planks will make a fun stocking stuffer for Ben and Bodie. They can be used for all sorts of meats, not just fish. The reviews are great and the price is exactly where I like my stocking stuffers to be. Linked here: https://amzn.to/3ywhIBx

I already own these salt and pepper grinders, but I plan to purchase a set for my dad for his birthday next month. I love them that much! Who knew salt and pepper shakers could make me so happy?? The ability to season food with freshly ground salt and pepper while only using one hand is genius. Several years ago I was given a more expensive version of these from Williams-Sonoma and the pepper mill was problematic from day one. The inexpensive Amazon version works much better and costs significantly less (like less than half!). We’ve had this set for over a year, use them daily and have only had to replace the battery once. The lights are a nice touch that I never knew I needed until I bought these. Linked here: https://amzn.to/3c4yvnw

A Ninja coffee maker is another item that I already own…and so do my parents and my sister. So, no plans to buy any during Prime days, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t share this with you. It’s THAT good. The K cup waste situation stresses me out and I vowed I’d never have a Kuerig. My dad and my sister are on the same page as me. In our search for an excellent coffee maker that makes a full pot and also various single serving sizes, my sister landed on this Ninja. She raved about it so much that my dad ended up getting one a few months later and I was hot on his heels. This thing makes delicious, hot coffee and the serving sizes are plentiful. If fancy coffee is your thing, you can easily whip up delicious lattes with this machine as well. It checks all of the boxes. If you are in need of a coffee maker, this is your best bet. Trust me. Alison, if you’re reading this, STOP NOW. Clearly I already own these water bottle organizers (picture is from my own kitchen) and I’m not being dramatic when I call them “life changing.” I purchased these on Amazon several years ago and could kick myself for not doing it sooner. My sister does not yet have these and I question her sanity. So, she’ll be getting some soon courtesy of her smart and generous sister. My children, like all school age kids, go through numerous water bottles per day. These organizers make everything visible so you’re not digging through the back of the cabinets trying to find the one you want. They also fit large tumblers, Yeti travel mugs, etc. You can use them for more than just water bottles.

In my opinion, Boos blocks are the industry standard when it comes to cutting and carving boards. Ben and I received one for our wedding and, fifteen years later, it’s still my go-to board. It’s held up beautifully. A Boos block alone makes a great gift for any cooks in your life, but pair it with some steaks from Lobel’s (https://lobels.com/) and you’ll make someone VERY happy. Treat yourself while you’re at it! Lobel’s is pricey but their steaks are the best of the best. Nanny frequently gifts Lobel’s steaks to Ben for Christmas and I promise you they are well received. Moving on to electronics now! I’ve got three items in my cart to purchase tomorrow.
Amazon Prime Days: Electronics

This is a purchase I’ve needed to make for a while and Prime Days are going to be what finally makes me pull the trigger. I’ve got customers dropping off and picking up orders on my front porch daily. I’ve been extremely lucky and never had a porch pirate situation, but I’m sure my luck will run out at some point. I like the options available with this particular model. Linked here in case anyone else needs a doorbell camera: https://amzn.to/3Ite7IW

Bodie currently uses Beats and Emery has first generation air pods. Although both of those are still in their possession (shockingly) and work fine, I think these will make a fun surprise for Christmas. Shop now and start crossing items off your Christmas shopping list! You’ll be so happy come December. Since December is typically a busy month for my little business AND all the fun school and social events, I like to get as much done as possible ahead of time. Thank you, Amazon Prime. Another item I can’t quit is JBL speakers. Emery and Ben both received these last Christmas (small for her, big for him) and we use them all the time. Perfect for skiing, golf, the pool, boating, the beach, or just to have around the house for your tunes or podcasts. The colors are all so much fun and these are extremely durable. If Emery and Ben haven’t broken them yet, they’re bulletproof. I plan to buy more of these for nieces and nephews this Christmas. Next category is back to school. Admittedly, this category is kind of weak. My kids’ school supply lists do not consist of very expensive or hard to find items (think three prong folders and composition books), so I don’t usually hunt for bargains. We just go to Target the week before school and grab whatever we don’t already have. However, I do feel as though I’ve fine tuned my lunch packing skills over the years and these are a few of my must haves.
Amazon Prime Days: Back to School

Nobody likes a squished sandwich, am I right? I purchased these sandwich containers years ago and they’re still in constant rotation. Fun colors, dishwasher safe, and keeps your sandwich in tact. Not a very exciting purchase, but one you’ll be glad you made. Linked here: https://amzn.to/3ar6AOt

Another tried and true lunch staple at Chez Slagel is Bumkins snack bags. I’ve tried other brands and these are our favorite. I put them on the top shelf of the dishwasher and they come clean and dry quickly. I’ve tried other brands and they either took too long to dry or retained odors from previous foods. Apparently my children do not like their chocolate covered pretzels to taste like buffalo pretzel chips. This will not happen with Bumkins. The best thing about reusable snack bags is how much waste they prevent from ending up in landfills. Also, they save you money over time. I rarely purchase Ziplock bags. The final category is fashion and beauty. I’ll be the first to admit that I am not an expert in this area, but I’ve had luck with a few items this summer and others are my old faithfuls that I order on repeat.
Amazon Prime Days: Fashion and Beauty

I can’t even begin to count how many times I’ve ordered this exact tinted sunscreen. The coverage is minimal, which I like, and the shade is perfect for me. I use this as foundation and love how my other makeup (blush, bronzer) looks on top of it. I wear it every day and feel protected from the sun. Since I’m trying very hard to undo all of the sun damage I did in my high school years, a good sunscreen is critical. I’ve tried a few other brands and I always come back to this. I’ll likely stock up during the sale. Get it here: https://amzn.to/3RnRiKN

This vanilla collagen powder is another weapon in my arsenal to turn back time. I add a scoop to my coffee every morning and I love the flavor. It dissolves completely, too! I’ve ordered this dozens of times and plan to load up tomorrow. Try it here: https://amzn.to/3PfLsdf

Emery goes through lots of makeup sponges. I cringe thinking of all of the bacteria that accumulates on her beauty tools, so I am all about finding inexpensive options that I do not mind tossing in the trash. These blenders have great reviews and are a good price point. I plan to put these in Emery’s stocking and also stock up on some to include in makeup bags for gifts for her friends. Get them here: https://amzn.to/3ypy2Us

Now that masks are no longer required most places, I am fully embracing big, bold statement earrings. I purchased these rattan hoops before our anniversary trip to St. Martin back in April and have never received so many compliments on a piece of jewelry. I wear them all the time! I’ve definitely gotten my money’s worth and think I’ll add a few more colors to my collection this week. Snag some for yourself or to gift to others here: https://amzn.to/3NWLMMb

The perfect summer shoes! This affordable version of comfy slides is everything. Great colors and super comfortable. Emery and I each have a pair and my sister loved them so much she ended up getting a pair for herself and her daughter. They fit true to size. We’ve still got months of pool season ahead of us in South Carolina, but these would make great shoes for around the house year round. College kids in need of shower shoes? Snag these here: https://amzn.to/3Rr6vL1

This is completely random, but also something I am very excited about…a blinged out football purse! My sister recently attended a groundbreaking ceremony for a new football stadium at the school where she works. In honor of the event, she purchased these football purses for herself and a coworker on Amazon. I couldn’t get over how cute it is and immediately asked her to send me the link. Y’all, there are only eight Saturdays until Notre Dame football is back….clearly I need this for viewing parties. Most stadiums require clear bags, so I can’t recommend this for actual in person game days, but I plan to have lots of fun using it during football season regardless. I’m partial to the traditional football hue, but that pink shade is gorgeous. Hostess gift for a tailgate? Homecoming dance? Booster party? Here you go: https://amzn.to/3PeHG38
That wraps up what is in my cart these next few days. I hope you find some inspiration here and are able to cross a few gifts off your shopping lists.
Happy Prime Days!
